I really enjoyed this movie! I had a few ill-conceived notions about how much I would enjoy watching "Stranded in Dangriga. There was a slight language barrier and I knew the cast was basically new to acting. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the acting,the comedic timing and the efforts of this cast. The idea of doing subtitles was a good idea as it allowed me to really grasp what was happening,understand their humor and their beautiful island accents. Not only did I watch it again, I even picked up a little lingo and a few dance moves! Ross Jordan and his crew did a good job executing this movie!The scenery seemed well thought out and the script stayed true to the storyline.

A musician and his friend have the chance of a lifetime to impress a TV show host who is stranded in Dangriga. He caters to the needs to the needs of this celebrity only to find out that the guy is infatuated with his wife. The situation spirals as his friend brings up this fact and that the producer is not even remotely interested in their work. It's a roller-coaster of antics with a number of laughs.

Bravo to this wonderfully cast romantic comedy (romcom). The genre is abused and not really seen overseas but this cast really nails it with its wonderful comedic timing.Sheldon Petillo, who plays James, is a wonderful protagonist that the audience can identify and instantly bond with in this movie. The director did a wonderful job of telling the story with simple cinematography coupled with lush beautiful tropical backgrounds. The filmmakers even thought of subtitling the movie to help audiences understand what is going on and relate to the movie faster. This well thought out film coupled with fantastic writing and a well groomed cast made this movie enjoyable.

The last component I wanted to mention was the soundtrack. It's fantastic and worth buying when available. This movie is comparable to the Kevin Hart movies as of late with an independent twist. I highly recommend watching Stranded N Dangriga!

A good friend invited me to the California premiere of Stranded N Dangriga. Since I don't understand creole very well, I was a little hesitant to go. I can honestly say I am glad that I went. The movie is hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Even though it is a light hearted comedy there are several twists and turns to keep you guessing. As far as the language concerns, the movie has subtitles. That really helped however the humor translate even without subtitles. I also really enjoyed the scenery. Dangriga, Belize, looks to be a very beautiful place. This movie won't win an Oscar but it will have you laughing. I definitely enjoyed Stranded N Dangriga.
