This song is currently known by many names "Like The Wind", "Blind The Wind", "Check It In, Check It Out" or "The Sun Will Never Shine" but the name with which it was finally baptized on the internet was "The Most Mysterious song on the Internet". Apparently its story begins in the early 80s, when someone recorded it on a cassette tape along with other songs broadcast on the radio that day. But according to that person, he removed the DJ's introduction presenting each song, thus losing the original mention of the band and the song. The song was like "? - Blind The Wind", and it was left like that for several decades until the arrival of the internet, where an attempt was made to find out its origin. In 2018 the song began to go viral, and many wanted to sign up to discover the name of the band. It was discovered that the song was recorded from a broadcast on the West German "NDR" network, back in 1982/1984. The date also got closer since a user recognized the keyboard model by ear. It is speculated that the song could have belonged to the extinct band "Status In Motion", however depending on the place on the internet they say that some members confirm that it is theirs, and in others that it is not. Then it was said that the song could have been from a German band called "Underground Corpses", formed by Christian Brandl and Ronnie Rocket. The latter, still alive, ended up releasing the version with the lyrics in German, which can be found on YouTube. The song was also uploaded by many other users on the platform, passing it off as fake live shows or concerts, and others creating new remixes, extending it or restoring the sound. However, there is still no consistent evidence or documents that really confirm who the real authors are. To date this song remains: "The Most Mysterious song on the Internet" by "The Most Mysterious Band".
An alternative idea that David Díaz had for the music video was that it began with the camera operator focusing on the group and suddenly he walked away, stopping focusing on them, and that the band spent the entire video clip chasing the cameraman in order to be appear on camera. All this in a single sequence shot. However, David ended up discarding the idea not only because it was too complicated, but because he ended up discovering that the joke was very similar to the opening joke of the movie The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash (1978).
The video clip was recorded in 5 days. 2 days in Cantabria, 2 days in Madrid for the interiors and one more day for the 2 shots at the beginning, introducing the BETA tape.
David Díaz first discovered the song in its original version in a video by YouTuber Ángel David Revilla (aka Dross), 3 videos que te van a dejar mucho en qué pensar (2021) released on March 1, 2021. Among the many videos he found duplicating the song until satiety, David found a "remastered" version by Bob Harley, that was uploaded in December 2019. That version served as inspiration for David to come up with the idea of making his own video clip, since he could only find "attempts" where they were only mixed archive images. David re-cut the song from scratch using Harley's version as an example, extending the ending a bit. The only thing he kept from the original Harley version was the sound of the drumsticks at the beginning. Since he could not recreate it.
Elo Sjøgren was a regular customer at the music and movie store where David Díaz worked. They ended up establishing a small friendship, and Elo ended up telling David that he had participated in music videos in Denmark in the early 80s. On the last day of filming after having had to do a new casting, David proposed to Elo, to appear in The musical video. His answer was a resounding yes.
