A good start of season 3
ivo-cobra814 February 2017
Revenge Season 3 in my honest opinion is much better than the second season was. I was sick and tired of the second season and the first half of the season. The second season suppose to be a show about young girl getting revenge and not that she got involved in a love triangle. The second half was much better and the ending was exciting with a good cliffhanger. I love the first season, the second was not as good as the first one. Watching the first season I was hooked up and fall in love with Emily VanCamp she acted so perfectly brilliant that she stole my heart. The second season was a bummer and the characters were really terrible. Season 3 is much better.

Six months later from the second season: Aiden Mathis (Barry Sloane) teams up with Victoria (Madeleine Stowe)to exact revenge on Emily (Emily VanCamp) for betraying him. Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) is free and comes out of jail and Emily is the only one that wait's on him. He lost his firm, so Emily buys him a Hamptons house. The Grayson hedge-fund fortune is still gone, so Conrad's governor salary seems insufficient to hang on to the Hamptons estate. Emily is engaged to Daniel (Josh Bowman). Victoria however is happy now firstborn bastard son Patrick Osbourne has turned up and spent the summer with her, but Charlotte sort of chases him back to his freelance job. Emily organizes a grand Grayson party where Conrad's portrait is revealed, but he collapses due to an incurable, fatal genetic disease. Jack (Nick Wechsler) come's back to Hamptons and he kicks out Emily out of his life and the town. Ashley Davenport (Ashley Madekwe) is exiled from the Hamptons I am glad that this show didn't kill another character which is way more cooler show.

We find out more about the characters we love and I think Season 3 goes back to basics in there in which Season 1 left off. I am pretty sure this season will be much better than the season 2. Fear (Revenge) is the first episode in Season 3 and is an excellent solid episode for me, but I think is a bit an underrated episode in the third season. Madeleine Stowe is beautiful and she really acted perfectly her character Victoria, we even found more about her character in Season 2 the second half. Gabriel Mann was really terrific as Nolan Ross he is really likable and I like him a lot.

We are introduced into new characters: Margaux LeMarchal (Karine Vanasse) and Justin Hartley from Smallville as Patrick Osbourne. So I hardly wait till finish season 3 till end.

I am giving a 9/10 a wonderful score of a wonderful start for a new season.

start of the third season
RavenGlamDVDCollector10 October 2017
Interesting. It seems they're gonna dance around a social taboo in this season. Cause look at the fire between Charlotte and Patrick. Hey, I've been posting snide comments re the first two seasons about Charlotte being half of what would have been a hot couple had "that other little guy" not been in the picture. Okay, obviously here's a suitable guy for her. Nice sparks throwing there! Hey, come on, I don't believe he's her brother! You know how soap operas go!

Clearly, the producers thought, we're not gonna kill off Ashley Davenport. Gee, I expected something awful to happen to li'l Ash, 'cause I'd inadvertently seen during research on her, that the first episode of the third season was her final appearance (Ashley Madekwe went on to play a witch in SALEM) and given the existing body count and how Amber Valetta's character got the chop, expected something nasty any moment. But the producers left their options open. Not that we're gonna see Ashley Madekwe in here again.

There's a very, very corny bit in here, sort of a parody of soap operas. Jack approaches Emily, they share a passionate kiss, all seems moonlight & roses, and then, that lame announcement, he feels nothing. Looked lame. That just seemed like the way somebody would make fun of soap operas in a comical sketch. And another flop flop flop was Nolan's dramatic James Bond parachute entrance. Nolan is not and has not ever been as macho. Where did this come from? Padding the script with a stunt for visual effect? They could have reserved it for that other obvious James Bond character.

Like I have said lotsa times, the one holding my attention is Christa B. Allen as Charlotte. Nice going in here, Christa! You're my star!

This is what we call a beginning of the new season!

Revenge had it's ups and downs. But they weren't enough to change my thoughts about it.Revenge, still is,the best drama show on TV.With it's powerful and promising first episode of season 3,i can't say anything more.I don't think it was such an easy task to come up with such a compelling story, which the writers successfully did. This episode reminded me of the first season. It was very nice to see that it is still very strong. No stretched scenes.Everything was perfect. And kudos to the director for choosing such a hectic project.I mean this show has a party in it's every episode (No,this is not criticism) and arranging everything would have been pretty bad,but they did it.I am totally into Revenge and i couldn't ask anything more in a well-made TV show.

The best show on T.V.!!!
clairelfoxhall29 May 2013
This is the best show on T.V. It has everything - love, hate, enemies, friendships, twists, turns, affairs, deaths, births, intrigue, beautiful people, gorgeous clothes and decor, drugs, pregnancies, etc. I love the plots and twists. The cast are really great actors. I never miss this program. It's brilliant. I think Emily VanCamp (Emily) is a wonderful actress and so is Madeleine Stowe (Victoria). She was born to play this role. Gabriel Mann (Nolan) and Henry Czerny (Conrad) are great actors and sidekicks to Emily and Victoria. The writing is extremely clever and the story lines are complex, yet easy to follow. It also keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you don't watch, give it a try - it will have you hooked!!!

Disappointed in how they turned Patrick out to be.. His too nice of a guy!
nygren3198 October 2013
I didn't like the first episode.. It's not likely that a fosterchild like Patrick would feel his biological mother is "mother" and his halfsister and brother is his brother and sister immediately after being introduced..

It was like Patrick had always known his mother, and he had a completely different life than her..He was a poor guy from a fostercare, she was a billionaire.. I don't think they would become friends like that very fast.

I get that Victoria wants a child to replace her other two for the moment, because the other two are not happy with her..

But Patrick must be angry because of the foster care.. I am an adopted person and i would certainly not treat my biologigal mother as "mother" in the first place.. She would have to prove herself to me as a good mother first. Adoption isn''t always bad though, but foster care is..

Had hoped for Patrick to be Aiden, as i kinda wished he'd be a little evil..

I like the guy playing Patrick though, he was great in Smallville as Green Arrow! But he should have been more of a badass coldhearted halfbrother.. Doesn't feel rigth when he treats the rich family as his family directly after meeting them, like he'd been one of them his entire life which he hasn't. Patrick should be angry for the fostercare he went through..

I would have been anyway..

6/10. Previous seasons 10/10.

And we're back to the Hamptons
studioAT19 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After a hit and miss S2 'Revenge' tries to recapture the quality of S1 on its 3rd outing.

With a new Exec Producer at the helm (Sunil Nayar - who clearly has decided which elements of the S2 finale he wants to use/ignore) this is a decent start, albeit a slightly chaotic one as we have to work out where the characters are with their lives/who is on whose side etc.

It's all fascinating fare, though sad to see Ashley go.
