In test screenings for this episode, Glen and Glenda were on Chucky's "kill list" but they were removed in the Final Cut for unknown reasons.
Don Mancini revealed that Andy's "death" was never going to be real, he always intended it to be a dream for Chucky.
Don Mancini opened up about how Kenan Thompson cameos as a cab driver. "I'm a long time fan of his and SNL in general. I've been a consistent viewer of that show, every episode, since it started. Turns out he's a big Chucky fan. He invited me to SNL that weekend we were there, and I said yes, because I also wanted to meet Sarah Sherman who played Chucky in this hilarious skit with Jake Gyllenhaal two seasons ago. When I was hanging out with them at one of the legendary SNL after parties, I just asked, 'would you guys be into coming on the show?' and they both said, 'F-k, yes. Sign us up.' I'm so happy that it worked out because it was just such an honor to work with both of them. Both of their characters were a lot of fun for us to create and tailor to their distinct personalities."
Chucky joins Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan) in having a scene that takes place in Times Square. Also like Jason (Freddy vs Jason) Chucky has his first crossover when he visits the Amityville house and references the events of Amityville II: The Possession.
Chucky mentions Twin Peaks, which featured Grace Zabriskie who had played one of his victims Grace Poole from the second film.
