Well done music video from Madonna.
blanbrn9 July 2019
In 1993 this song "Rain" was a huge hit from Madonna as it was so relaxing, and had a feel good mood and the song was about about the pain of love as rain is compared to teardrops! The video features the Material Girl with jet black hair singing this tune to perfection overall well done as you the viewer and listener can feel love coming down like rain!

Warning: Spoilers
These 5.5 minutes we have here are the music video for the Madonna song "Rain" from 1993, so this one will have its 25th anniversary next year. Miss Ciccone in her mid-30s here does not really move in here, so it is a very calm and restrained ballad from her. But sadly not one of her most effective works. Sure you could wonder what the title is referring to and what metaphors are used in here from start to finish, quite a few certainly, but it all feels a bit unrefined to me. The visual side, including the artist with short dark hair, as well as the song don't feel memorable at all to me unfortunately, which is why I must say that I am eventually glad it was a relatively short "film". Director is Mark Romanek, the man who made one of my favorite films of all time, but this one here did not manage ti impress me a bit. The style keeps it from being a complete failure I guess and makes it an example of style over substance. Don't listen or watch unless you are a true hardcore Madonna fan. She's done better on many occasions.
