Atrocious and inexcusable

Warning: Spoilers
How did this "documentary" end up on Amazon Prime?

This is an insult on all levels to Julie Andrews.

Two people I have never heard of have stitched together a blathering gabfest with existing footage that anyone can find that allowed these "filmmakers" to make mock scenes of people playing piano and bowing in front of audiences to "hint" at the life of Julie Andrews, as well as swiping photos and footage of Julie Andrews right off the Internet.

They obviously were unable to get an interview directly with Julie, so they thought, "We'll show her!"

And this is the result. How dare they!

There are no production values. A child could have done this on an iPhone with existing footage found on the Internet.

I had to look up Jennifer Otter Bickerdike, one of the "experts," who basically rambles on about everything we already know about Julie.

Wow. When Julie made "Mary Poppins," she found out that her life was going to change. Imagine Jennifer letting us know that. I had to watch this insult to find that out?

Everyone associated with this should be ashamed of themselves, most of all Amazon Prime for allowing it to exist on their site.

I kept fast forwarding it to see if I could find actual footage of these two "know-it-all" speakers actually talking with Julie, but since she must have said, "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are and, uh, no, I won't give you an interview," they just decided to go through with it anyway, and "create" a "documentary."

Absolute rubbish and should be scrubbed from the Internet. Julie, I apologize to you, and I had nothing to do with this.

Filled with errors from beginning to end. The production value was just plain BAD. Don't waste your money...and that is coming from a Julie Andrews lifelong fan.

The 2 people talking throughout the piece appear to be 'experts,' but it is amazing that they and the narrator had speech errors.

Did someone just make this in their garage on a laptop?

This should not be called a documentary....nor should it be called a work of fiction, but while there were some truths in the piece....one being that it was about Julie Andrews.....virtually every part was full of made up things.

My favorite was that they said that The Sound of Music was a Disney film.

Again....not worth the hour or the $9.99.

How do these "experts" get picked? The factual errors come so thick and fast that it is almost funny. Apparently Afua Hagan thinks that Disney made The Sound of Music and that it included a scene where Maria made curtains out of outfits!

Seriously, anyone can make a slip of the tongue but how did this get through editing? Presumably the same editor that used stock footage of cellos and ballet dancers whenever they couldn't be bothered to source (ie pay for) a suitable image.

For some reason Julie's career skips from The Sound of Music to Victor Victoria, missing out whole swathes of her career, then focuses on her operations and recovery.

Laughable.
