I loved that the movie created suspense around scenes important to the plot, like the raid in 1992, where Alan García escapes through the roof, tricking police SWAT units and Alan Garcia's supossed "wake" where people where chanting political verses about how great the ex-mandatary was.
A little bit about the background about him is: Alan García was confronted in 2016 for apperently reciving a bribe from a construcción company to implement the capital's metro system, called "Linea 1" Where it ended in the suicide of the ex-mandatary
As a peruvian, I was shocked in the receiving of the news, because we often see politicians and presidents being total jerks but not politicians taking their lives just to avoid prison.
As the movie shows, the suicide of Alan caused great confusion and shock around the country. Every morning during breakfast there was new info about this suprising turn of events.
The movie ended with the journalist writing the book in which the movie is based of, "Vivo o muerto", which seems kind of a "blank canvas" type of ending, but I like that it encourages you to follow the story, with the book.
Do I think Alan is dead? No.
