Dr. Cristina Yang : [to Owen] I don't even know how you can even pretend this isn't an issue.
Dr. Owen Hunt : Because it's not.
Dr. Cristina Yang : Were you even gonna tell me you wanted to adopt him?
Dr. Owen Hunt : Well, that didn't happen, so...
Dr. Cristina Yang : But you wanted to. Owen... you want kids.
Dr. Owen Hunt : This is about one kid, this kid who needed...
Dr. Cristina Yang : Okay, but the fact that you are lying to yourself doesn't make me feel better about you lying to me.
Dr. Owen Hunt : I am not lying about the fact that I love you and I want my life to be with you.
Dr. Cristina Yang : You don't think you're gonna look at me one day and only see the things I couldn't give you?
Dr. Owen Hunt : God, has it ever occurred to you that I might know my own mind better than you?
-
Dr. Connie Ryan : [to Meredith] Well, I didn't expect to see you again so soon.
Dr. Derek Shepherd : Her contractions are every three minutes.
Dr. Cristina Yang : And she doesn't want drugs.
Dr. Derek Shepherd : I have Dr. Knox available in case she changes her mind.
Dr. Cristina Yang : Look, she doesn't want drugs.
Dr. Meredith Grey : Okay, can everybody please just shut up? I want to push. I feel like I need to push. Can I push?
Dr. Connie Ryan : I just need to check first...
[Connie checks Meredith]
Dr. Cristina Yang : What's going on?
Dr. Connie Ryan : Meredith, I need you not to push.
Dr. Meredith Grey : Why?
Dr. Connie Ryan : There's face presentation. I can feel your baby's face, so we're gonna have to do a C-section.
Dr. Meredith Grey : A C-section? I do not want to have surgery.
Dr. Derek Shepherd : I know.
Dr. Cristina Yang : Alright, you know what? It's just a "C." That's barely surgery. A moron could do a "C."
[to Connie]
Dr. Cristina Yang : I... no offense.
-
Dr. Cristina Yang : Hey, Meredith Grey has survived a bomb, a drowning, a gunman, and a plane crash and she's still here. She's gonna die when she's like 90, old and warm in her bed. She is not gonna die today. Today, she's gonna be fine.
Dr. Derek Shepherd : I hope so.
Dr. Cristina Yang : She has to be. She's our person.
-
Dr. Cristina Yang : [to Connie] Can't you just rotate the baby and... and push his face away?
Dr. Connie Ryan : It's very risky, for the baby, for Meredith.
Dr. Shane Ross : [walks in the room] Uh, Dr. Yang. Dr. Webber needs you in O.R. Two.
Dr. Cristina Yang : To do what? I can't operate in the dark. No one is operating in the dark.
-
Dr. Cristina Yang : There's blood in there, exiting the heart. I can't find out where unless I open him up. And I'm not opening his chest with no light. I'm not operating on people in the dark. Sir, I cannot operate under these conditions.
Dr. Richard Webber : Didn't we just teach the Syrians how to operate under these conditions?
Dr. Cristina Yang : I'm not in Syria.
Dr. Richard Webber : Yang, this is James Strickland. He's got a wife... Carol, and four kids back in Arizona. James' dad is 80 and alone since James' mom died on Christmas, and he's far too stubborn to move into assisted living, which is why James found himself on his father's roof trying to clean out his gutter when the storm hit. He was just trying to take care of his dad. He's a good man and he will die on this table if you don't operate, Yang. While we stand around and watch, this man will die.
Dr. Cristina Yang : [sighs] I'll scrub in.
