- Tony and Ziva's car is T-boned in an intersection. She comes to as someone walks toward their car. Tony is out cold. Ziva watches groggily as Ilan Bodnar, the man she's been hunting for killing her father, leans into her car and takes something.
"I told you to walk away Ziva," he says. Another car pulls up and he gets in and drives off. Ziva gets off a few shots but manages only to shoot out the rear windshield.
Vance and Gibbs wait for Tony and Ziva in the emergency room. Bodnar took the diamonds.
Ziva got a partial plate of the getaway car, it's registered to a soccer mom.
Gibbs, McGee and a team head to the house and surround it, shouting for whoever is inside to come out. When they don't, the agents fire a flash bang in. The person inside starts shooting with an automatic weapon. The NCIS team riddles the house with bullets.
Inside, there's a dead body in the kitchen -- not Bodnar.
Tony and Ziva sneak out of the ER and head back to the office. Tony has a message from his insurance agent with bad news. He's being put on the at risk list after totaling his third car.
At the house, they find the victim's ID, Carl Miller, is fake and he has no finger prints. A piece of paper in his pocket says "see Reisiger 19." He has a few diamonds in his pocket; payment for helping Bodnar.
Down in the garage, Abby is going over the SUV that hit Ziva and Tony. There was a harness installed and the airbag was removed; the crash was planned. Ziva peppers Abby with questions about where everyone else is.
Gibbs talks to Miller's landlord, who says he drove a motorcycle and would sometimes be gone months at a time.
Back at NCIS, Homeland Senior Division Chief Tom Morrow is annoyed Vance OK'd the raid without telling him. He says the search for Bodnar should be left to Homeland.
Ziva and McGee check international databases and get nothing on the name Reisiger.
Tony ducks a call from his insurance agency, making Abby answer. They're canceling his policy if he doesn't call them back in 24 hours.
Down in the morgue, Duckie hasn't gotten anywhere on identifying the body. Miller's had tons of plastic surgery and his teeth were all replaced.
Down in the lab, Abby is trying to figure out how long Bodnar was at the house. There's a beer bottle with the finger print of Amir Mantel, the rogue Mossad agent who was killed.
Ziva ignores her injured shoulder and works out her aggression on a heavy bag.
Tony complains that McGee wouldn't stop for coffee on their drive in from work. Ziva lends Tony her car; she's planning to jog into work the next few days. Tony is still sore and achy from the accident, but Ziva is powering through the pain.
Police find Miller's motorcycle near Union Station.
Down in the morgue, Duckie has been able to trace the serial number of his jaw implant. Dr. Madison Fielding installed it.
Tony and McGee visit Dr. Fielding, the plastic surgeon. He did Miller's surgery three years ago. There was nothing wrong with him and he paid in cash. They look at the before photo -- he looked completely different.
At the office, Ziva gets a video call from Bodnar, who says her father was selling out Mossad and Israel to Iran. He denies killing Arash Kazmi and says others are responsible for killing the Iranian. Ziva vows to find him.
Abby IDs Carl Miller as South African Clive Goddard, whom she ID'd from his "before" photo through facial recognition. He's involved in blood diamond smuggling.
McGee analyzes the trees and lamp post in background of the video chat from Bodnar. He's in New York.
Vance tells Ziva they have to let Homeland handle things.
In MTAC, Vance tells Morrow they think Bodnar is in New York. Vance tells Morrow the case is all his, but after they hang up Gibbs notes Vance didn't tell him what Bodnar said about Kazmi.
Later that night, Ziva's Shin Bet contact Adam sends her a photo of Bodnar and Goddard together from five years ago. McGee stays late to check on something.
In the middle of the night, Tony drops by Gibbs' basement to talk. He's worried about Ziva, she's been more secretive since her father's death. Gibbs knows she wants revenge. He asks if there's anything Tony didn't tell him about Berlin, but Gibbs' phone rings before Tony answers.
McGee calls and Tony and Gibbs go to the office. He thought there was something wrong with the video and it turns out there was, Bodnar pasted himself into a YouTube video. He's not in New York.
In the morning, Tony catches Ziva up. The boys were at the office all night.
Tony goes down to the morgue to stop the release of Goddard's body. Duckie waxes about the Afrikaans language and Tony wonders if Reisiger might be Afrikaans. Palmer looks "See Reisiger" up on his phone app and learns it means "Sea Voyager."
Vance finishes an unpleasant call with Tom Morrow, who thinks NCIS misled them to New York. Vance isn't backing off.
Upstairs they find Sea Voyager is a Liberian freighter docked in the Port of Baltimore in Pier 19, leaving for South Africa tonight. Tony and McGee go to tell Gibbs. Ziva takes her gun and car keys and leaves.
At the Port at night, Ziva grabs a flare from her trunk and uses it to start a Dumpster fire near the gangplank. The man guarding it goes to check out the fire and Ziva boards the ship.
Down in the hold she hears Bodnar. She confronts him with her personal gun. He knows she won't shoot an unarmed man in the back and walks away. He gets out onto the deck and jumps her. They start fighting, grabbing nearby tools and a fire extinguisher to go after each other. Ilan gets her around the neck with a chain, but she flips him off of her and gets back on top, punching him.
Gibbs and the team pull up, wondering if the fire is Ziva's doing. Ilan's body falling over the side of the ship is their answer.
Later, back at NCIS, a battered Ziva goes to see Vance.
"Is it over?" he asks.
"It's over," she says.
