Innes manages to authentically regale her audience with soliloquies of dating and being a nerd girl without stomping all over the played out tropes too often found in such material. She employs the cleverness and wit of a Janeane Garofalo without any of her perceived smugness and blends her self-effacing persona with a confidant stage presence deftly, creating an undeniable charm that captures her audience from her opening salvo and with seeming ease keeps them on her side all the way through her closing joke. Erikka Innes' star is one that is sharply on the rise. Erikka Innes is a witty and talented comedian. Her stand-up translates well to this format. She broaches a variety of topics with flair and she is utterly fearless. Smells Like Nerd Spirit is entertaining and funny at the same time. It is not a one watch or listen piece, you will come back to it over and over again and it will keep you laughing each time. Her comedy experience and range is impressive and her knowledge of the topics she discusses will surprise you. I am not going to give away any of her material. Delightfully funny comedian, Erikka knocks it out of the park with hilarious material and a great delivery.

Her comedy is thought provoking and you can instantly relate to it. I really enjoy her range of topics and she's amazing at finding the things in the world to make you laugh out loud over.

The characters and situations in her jokes are spot on and well delivered. I find myself thinking "I know people like this!" and "Oh my God - this is true!" while laughing my head off.

Rising stars like Erikka are where the real comedy gold is. This album is one of my favorites and I think you'll really enjoy it.
