• Bug enemies have green blood as their main type, they can be gored by certain weaponry.

• Helldivers, who are the players, are human, and have red blood, they are capable of being dismembered and eviscerated when killed by a certain type of weaponry. You will get covered in blood(alien and human) after combat.

• The terminids (bugs) have a lot more gore and dismemberment compared to the automatons (bots) as you can shoot their limbs, heads, and other body parts with graphic detail. Although you most likely won't pay too much attention due to the high paced nature of the gameplay.

• Player has the ability to betray their teammates by shooting, exploding or meleeing them, although this is rare.

• The warfare is filled with nonstop explosions and gunfire, either killing you or knocking you all over the place injured. It is super intense yet super fun.

• The game technically isn't Sci-Fi horror, but at the same time, it pretty much is. Several heart pounding moments are present as players battle against enormous hordes of alien monsters and bloodlusted robots coupled with intense music and gameplay.

• There are people the Helldivers need to rescue, but they do have the option to kill them, but would have a penalty of stripping of Requisition Slips, and enemies can attack non combatants.

• The fight against the Automatons is extremely intense. They have very menacing designs, sizes, and laser weaponry that overwhelm and frighten the players in combat. They also keep piles of gored bodies and strewn intestines at their bases.
