Perdita Weeks: Juliet Higgins

Quotes

  • Thomas Magnum : [nearly missing the exam to renew their PI licenses]  You okay?

Juliet Higgins : I've, like, never failed anything in my whole life.

Thomas Magnum : Come on. Never?

Juliet Higgins : No, no, never. I mean, I... how did I fail and you passed? Sorry. That sounded bad.

Thomas Magnum : Don't worry about it. I mean, you were basically an unlicensed PI for a year before we became partners.

Juliet Higgins : Mm, doing favors for you under the radar is one thing, but I've been a licensed PI for years. I can't just say I didn't know any better.

Thomas Magnum : What's the worst that can happen?

Juliet Higgins : What if I get caught investigating without a license? Then, I mean, it could jeopardize my citizenship. Yeah, that's the worst-case scenario, but I-I just don't think I can take the risk. I think until I get my license back, you're just gonna have to work without me.

  • Juliet Higgins : Why wouldn't the Good Samaritan stay on the scene to give a statement?

Thomas Magnum : Best guess is he had a reason not to talk to the cops.

Juliet Higgins : Well, given my status, I really shouldn't be working on this case, but under the circumstances, maybe it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Thomas Magnum : Ah, something I would say. I don't know if I should be proud or freaked out.

Juliet Higgins : Well, look, there's a lot at stake here, Thomas. You're gonna need all the help you can get.

Thomas Magnum : You just focus on getting your license back. I'll be fine, all right? I'd rather work one case without you than lose you as a partner for good.
