Episode 8

Warning: Spoilers
I am glad that we got an ending that left the door open for a season two and some more chaos around the central triangle of characters. I have to admit that even though they had teased various alternate scenarios in the last couple of episodes and made it clear when the absurd alternate timeline was taking place, I still thought maybe Ruby had survived for a second.

Overall I think this show is a step in the right direction for Peacock, a network still struggling to find its voice. It is not nearly as good as Poker Face, but I hope we get more of this adventure of Nathan and Ava and Matt in a second season.

What the hell?

No spoilers here, but the "ending" to this final episode was absolutely ridiculous. It just basically stopped in mid-plot. No resolution of anything, no guarantee of a second season, it just abruptly ended right in the middle of a tense moment. Talk about frustrating.

At first, I assume there had to be more episodes, and was forced to come here to the IMDb and checked to make sure that this was actually the final episode. I was shocked to see that it was.

It makes no sense whatsoever, I' D like to know what idiot came up with the idea of just ending a series with nothing resolved one way or another.

The series has a lot of flaws (notably, the lead married couple both act like morons), but it was a fairly fun ride. At least until they completely blew the ending. What on earth were they thinking? It simply ends, as if the last episodes are missing. It seems insanely incomplete. A really bad decision on the part of whoever opted to end the season this way.

It Doesn't Get Better, But I Don't Hate It

I'm a sucker for a good Who done it mystery, and while this show isnt a who done it, I stuck around and it wasn't half bad. I probably wouldn't watch a second season since I kind of know what I'm getting.

Writing was predictable and they went to the "they're only dreaming" well about 7 too many times. It was actually laughable because you knew it was a dream immediately and it was very poorly done, completely avoidable. And to do it as much as they did, shows lazy storytelling, please just stop

You don't find yourself rooting for any characters, they're all pretty deplorable but not in a fun way like say It's Always Sunny.

Anyway, check it out if you like mysteries, though there isn't much to solve. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and you shouldn't either.

If the final episode of the first season had a message. It is there is no going back for Nathan and Ava Bartlett.

As Matt tless them. 'This will never end.' It also has Matt yanking their chain.

He has deliberately left Ruby's body for Nathan and Ava to deal with.

Matt has killed again and will do so even more. Fresh content for the podcast, now with spin off potentials.

He has been in contact with other serial killers, so they can have their own podcasts. Just like American Idol. Matt is looking for serial killers with their own sad sob story.

It is clear that the serie his hoping for a renewal. So there is no proper resolution. Apart from Nathan and Ava do dispose of Ruby. It also seems that she was planning to contact the police and tell all.
