A strong episode with some deep intense feelings and thoughts with a rendering conclusion but it just doesn't seem to quite hit the mark for me.

Most of the main cast are featured but either the writing or the acting just doesn't quite get into top gear.

Too many actors here just seem to play themselves an Robert Carlyle whom was one of Britain's bright lights 25 years ago just didn't seem to make the most of whqt was offered to his career back then and always seems to give the impression he is above the other actors in this.

I am sure it sets things up for the final episode but it could just be somewhat better.

Dave realises that his wife Jean is having an affair with Dilip. He ropes in Gaz to get conclusive proof. They end up abducting Dilip.

While Hetty is upset that Jean always seems to get one over her, either in their respective careers and love life.

Hetty and Jean end up in stranded in the woods, looking for Hetty's absent minded mother who has walked off.

Dave, Gaz and Dilip go looking for Jean in the woods. Gaz trying his best to keep Dave and Dilip apart.

This is really the first episode that seems like the characters gel. The main reason being Dave and Gaz have been at loggerheads until now.

It ends with an emotional ending with Horse ill in hospital, where the beds are full and he thinks he is getting in the way.

The writing is far from perfect. Gaz walking off his lollipop man job to get Dave a chocolate cake, like he is going to do that all day.
