Atwater's dad is back on the scene in an episode so well done that it was actually at times very hard to watch without getting emotional, involving Oscar, a boy of twelve accidentally shooting dead his friend.
Oscar is clearly covering for his father, who will definitely not be winning any Father of the Year awards anytime soon, as Atwater properly and his own dad (displaying less law enforcement-friendly behaviour) try to save the kid from going to jail, they start to form a bit of a bond.
(Side note: still not completely convinced that Mr Atwater is an all the way good dude, but we'll see...)
Eric LaRay Harvey as Lew Atwater and Miles Coreas as Oscar Goodman both deserve kudos for strong acting performances.
