An all-girl Pure Taboo DVD, with both segments made by female directors, this unfortunately is a glum effort, downbeat rather than erotic content.
Title scene is poorly acted, not Kay Brandt's directorial best. Gia Derza overacts as a homeless girl, seemingly thrown out on the streets by foster parents. Her similarly situated pal and sort of caretaker Evelyn Claire disappears for several weeks, an intolerable situation for Gia. The girl visits her social worker (a guest appearance by the imposing figure London River) and gets no help, but then Evelyn shows up again.
The girls' reunion is not a happy one, and at this point script by writer Midnight falls apart: they argue over Evelyn having found a "sugarmama" who turned her into a lesbian. Gia is jealous and Evelyn threatens to leave her forever, but Gia volunteers to be pimped out by London but wants to be taught first to be a lesbian by Evelyn. Even fans of the actresses' sexual prowess will have trouble sitting through this, with them acting way out of character once the footage goes XXX, leading to a very corny "surprise ending".
The other scene is titled "Left Behind" and is taken from Bree Mills' "Lesbian Revenge" series even though it is not about any revenge. Instead it's another reunion: high-school friends Paige Owens and Mia Moore meet by accident after several years when Mia the food delivery girl brings a package of goodies to Paige's house. This happens again, and they reminisce, with it turning out that Mia ghosted Paige years ago, going to the prom with a guy instead of going with her and never picking up on the fact that Paige had a crush on her.
Paige is a successful business woman but of course the reunited gals have sex together, with another odd wrinkle in Fistopher Nolan's screenplay that Paige is still a virgin (until now, that is). Punch line is that apres sex Mia ghosts Paige again, leaving her (and the viewer) in a glum mood at the non-ending.
Like so much of the Pure Taboo series, this content merely leaves the viewer in a sour mood -unless of course the loyal viewers just skip the story/poor acting and merely get off on the XXX action.
