Tom Is Growing On Me
Messina is finding his way a bit better- his awkwardness is fading and he seems to be finding his character's awkward quirks, instead.

Cuoco again shines in her dry humor, deadpan delivery is definitely her specialty. But her friends are just so incredibly cringe, and the phony veneer of pretension LA-style is too much. I get this is a campy send-up on the genre and how completely insane these fanatics are, but the fringe characters far too irritating, like fingernails on a blackboard, irritating. Ruby is just gross and the epitome of disgusting.

I don't know if these ancillary characters are friends of Cuoco, but they need to stop being featured so prominently.

Basically the episode is better than the first, so we'll watch another episode.

Warning: Spoilers
The show still has yet to find its voice, but we could see that they were getting a little bit less serious than the first episode, which I really think is a smart decision because in the world of television we do not need more moping around, we just need more fun and laughs.

This is a light-hearted show dealing with a very serious subject matter. Looking forward to seeing how future episodes play out, but there is enough here to keep me invested. I just feel like they need to poke fun at the absurdity of the situation and the idea of doing this podcast a bit more than they have already started doing.

The episode starts with a flashback. Matt Pierce shopping at a supermarket with his son. His attention distracted when a pretty young woman walks past him in the aisle. She gives him a flirty look.

Matt is hooked, he has his next victim. She is Chloe Lake and Matt killed her in her apartment.

Nathan Bartlett confronts Matt about him being a serial killer and offers Matt a deal. The killing stops and they make a podcast.

However they are disturbed by other surfers on the beach before Matt can give an answer.

An intriguing beginning then gets lot with a lot of padding. The episode loses tension until Matt and Nathan meet up again later on.

This needs to be a tighter story but it is eight parts long.
