Poor man's version of Ready Or Not
dubond9 August 2023
Til Death Do Us Part is directed by Timothy Woodward Jr and stars Natalie Burn, Cam Gigandet, Orlando Jones and Jason Patric.

What happens when you try to combine a Tarantino movie with You're Next and Ready Or Not? You get whatever Til Death Do Us Part is. This isn't a good movie but there are a few redeeming qualities about this that I'll get into.

There are two subplots in this one with the Groomsmen hunting down Natalie Burn's bride and another involving Jason Patric's character that didn't even need to be in this movie. This movie is also way too long and for such a simple premise it feels extremely dragged out. The writing by Chad Law and Shane Dax Taylor is also extremely cliche and filled with horrendous dialogue. On the positive side Natalie Burn in what I think is her first leading role is good here and Jason Patric who looks like he was interrupted during his vacation to film scenes for this also does a good job. The best part about this for me though was Cam Gigandet and his charismatic and zany performance got to give him props for at least trying to make this somewhat watchable.

How or why this managed to get a theatrical release I don't know. Ready Or Not with Samara Weaving which has a very similar plot to this is far superior.

Lame

If you need some eye yoga, Til Death Do Us Part is the perfect choice: my eyes were in pain after watching this movie due to constant eye rolling. Additionally, I suspect that I lost a significant number of brain cells (note to self: be more selective about watching new movies, unless you want to become a brain-lobotomized zombie in a not so far away day). Not only does Til Death Do Us Part feed us a weak and uninspiring story, but the entire film is also rather tediously timed and poorly directed, the dialogues a terrible blabla. The production value also fails to elevate the movie to even average quality. If you're truly craving violence and action involving a bride (for whatever peculiar reason), I highly recommend watching Ready or Not or Kill Bill (again). Both films boast superior production, captivating storylines, and talented casts. Final words: a rather cheap and uninspired imitation.

Couldn't wait for the credits to roll
bhayden-512819 August 2023
Nobody should be comparing this to Ready or Not. This movie took 1 page of the brilliance of Ready or Not and crumpled it into 1 hour and 45 minutes of a complete mess. The dialogue between the groomsmen was just so terrible I fast forwarded most of the parts just to get to the end. The end had a decent twist but nothing of note. Very dissatisfied with this movie as I was really looking forward to this.

I think the best part of the movie were the last five minutes and I was so excited when the credits finally scrolled.

One act of praise is the Groom, he had about 5 lines in it and I think it was the best decision in his career bc he didn't talk.

How this movie hit the silver screen still has me scratching my head.

Grade: D-

I've parted ways with this film and I'm happy to say I'll never be seeing this again.

So today I (mis)treated myself to a double feature of Meg 2 and Til Death Do Us Part. After Meg 2 failed to deliver on its minimal promises of schlocky fun I had my hopes that this would meet my expectations of being mildly entertaining. Unfortunately this couldn't even pass the lowest bar: at least be more entertaining than the movie I watched prior.

This movie is a beat-by-beat ripoff to the far superior Kill Bill films with lifeless performances from a cast that looked like they didn't want to be there. The characters are monotone, obnoxious, and one note. Cam Gigandet's character is by far the most insufferable of the bunch. Putting on random classic songs on vinyl and foolishly dancing around is his sole personality trait that probably took up to a total of 15 minutes of the film runtime throughout. If you want your character to be demented maybe...I don't know...do more?

It delivers on the blood and gore for the most part and usually when a film is this bad this can be a redeeming quality, even if it doesn't save the film entirely. But this did nothing for me. The jokes fall flat, the characters are cringe, and the film is about 20-25 minutes too long. There was no heart in this. The only positives I can give this are some decent fighting scenes and two pretty cool and bloody kills.

Oh dear, oh dear...
paul_haakonsen19 September 2023
As I sat down to watch "Til Death Do Us Part", I had not heard about the movie. The movie was listed as a horror comedy, and that was essentially what made me sit down to watch it. Well, that and the fact that it was a movie that I hadn't already seen.

This movie was a swing and a miss. I got no enjoyment or entertainment out of the storyline, and it was a really difficult movie to sit through. In fact, I managed to endure a staggering, and utterly boring, 50 minutes of the 109 minutes runtime, then I just gave up out of sheer and utter boredom. Writers Chad Law and Shane Dax Taylor really failed to compile something that caught my interest, much less entertained me.

The acting performances in the movie were fair enough, despite the fact that the script and storyline was a dumpsterfire and provided zero entertainment. Of the entire cast ensemble, then I was only familiar with Cam Gigandet and Orlando Jones.

"Til Death Do Us Part" is not a movie that I will recommend anyone to waste their time, money or effort on. Some of us suffered through this ordeal, in greater or smaller parts, so you don't have to. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to attempt finish watching, because I simply don't care about the storyline or characters, nor did I find anything entertaining about the ordeal.

The best thing about the movie was the movie's cover/poster.

My rating of director Timothy Woodward Jr.'s 2023 movie lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

Atrocious!
AndyLianB19 September 2023
WORDS cannot express to you how outrageously terrible this film is. A utter abomination to the film industry.

Another thing I would like to express to you in utter disgust is Ser'Darius Blain's insulting stereotype British accent this coming from someone that is actually British we don't sound like that. Did you have a lesson to watch Downtown Abbey over and over? You failed miserably.

Overall the acting contributes to the failure & it makes it difficult to watch past 20 minutes as the acting/performances are utterly embarrassingly terrible. I'm sat here in utter disgust with the entirety of the film.

An insult to film making
kevbee13 October 2023
How do films like this get made? Who puts up the money? Or are they just vanity projects from spoiled rich kids ? I only ask because this must have looked rubbish on paper. I think I recognized one name on the cast list. The others were totally unknown. They should stay that way. Especially the leading lady. Dreadful beyond words. And the production values? Let's saturate all the colors and have a palate of primary hues. Everything about this movie is a mess and you should avoid it like the plague. It doesn't even fall into the "it's so bad, it's good" category. It's just plain bad. You have been warned.

A Disappointing Mess of a Film
vassiliskounelis20 September 2023
I recently had the unfortunate experience of watching "Till Death Do Us Part" (2023), and I must say that I hated every minute of it. This film is a prime example of how a promising premise can be utterly ruined by poor execution. From start to finish, it was an exercise in frustration, leaving me baffled by the nonsensical plot, lackluster action, and uninspired deaths.

Let's start with the plot - or lack thereof. "Till Death Do Us Part" seems to have been cobbled together from random scenes and ideas without any coherent narrative thread. It's a hodgepodge of clichés and contrivances that left me scratching my head in confusion. The storyline was so convoluted that I couldn't even tell you what the movie was about without consulting a synopsis.

The deaths in the film were equally devoid of inspiration. Each demise felt like a checklist item, with no emotional impact or connection to the characters. It was as if the filmmakers were trying to see how many different ways they could kill off characters without actually giving us a reason to care about them in the first place.

Perhaps the most unforgivable sin of "Till Death Do Us Part" is just how mind-numbingly boring it is. I found myself constantly checking my watch, hoping that the ordeal would soon come to an end. The film failed to engage me on any level, and I was left wondering why I had wasted my time and money on such a lackluster production.

In conclusion, "Till Death Do Us Part" (2023) is a prime example of how not to make a movie. It is a senseless, poorly executed mess that left me with a profound sense of disappointment and regret. Save your time and money and steer clear of this cinematic disaster. There are plenty of better films out there worth your attention.

Disappointing.
Foutainoflife19 September 2023
A runaway bride has to fight off the groomsmen that come chasing after her.

The problem with this film is a lack of detail regarding the sub plot for bride and groom. We don't understand their relationship, the relationship they share with their "friends" or the relationship with their employer. You've watched nearly the entire film before things have started to come together well.

I will give the film credit for the stunt/action scenes, the poster art (even though it bugs me that the dress on the poster isn't the dress worn in the film (Don't ask me why it bothers me. It just does! OK.)) and the soundtrack. Some of the special effects were questionable and the supporting characters didn't bring much to the table. For me, I just couldn't get into caring about what was happening to the characters. They were bland, uninteresting and simply fodder for the kill scenes.

I had higher hopes coming into this so I'm a bit bummed out. I'm not sure that I'd suggest it to friends or even watch it again. If I had to choose between this and Ready or Not, I would choose Ready or Not over and over again.

Noithing to see here....
angladafrank21 September 2023
.... just move along. Between the incredible long and dull setup and the poor action scenes with terrible dialogue in-between there is clearly nothing in this film that worth you sit and watch this dumpster fire.

Even in these troubled times where movies are ew and far between I'd rather watch a sharknado, at least it will be midly entertaining. This offered nothing, pretty sure my encephalogram was totally flat for the entire runtime.

I'd even rather make a grocery list or doing chores than having to watch another minute of this ... movie? Yes, calling it a movie is almnost an insult to other movies.

Just move along seriously.

mr and mrs smith action movie hidden gem
craig-434397 February 2024
I decided to pick this movie up and all i can say is wow this is one hidden gem of a movie.

Has a good story plot.

The movie is like mr and ms smith with out the millions dollar budget.

And have to say they pulled it off big time with this action fast movie.

Natalie Burn is a amazing actress who did a really good job playing her character. The Bride.

What she does in the movie is mind blowing and funny and all the other actors did a amazing job portraying there characters in the movie.

It these type of movies that keep the film industry alive hopefully we can see a follow up to this movie.

Unwatchable
violinjoe20 September 2023
I could not finish this movie - turned it off after about 30 min.

The movie is a mess. I have no idea what it was about, or anything about the characters. Nonsensical script, ridiculous "action" sequences, and *bizarre* casting choices. I am all for including people of all walks of life in all movies, but when you include a little person next to a tall person, and have them argue for comedic purposes, you have failed on every level as a director/producer.

I have absolutely no idea how this film got made, and shocked that no one stopped it in the production process.

Take my advice and avoid this movie at all costs.

Lots of boring talks with poor scripts
deafo20 September 2023
Aw, did I had to skip their long boring talks between actions many times. Even their conversation were excuses to make this movie last a bit more longer. Their actings were not too bad. They just need a better director and screenwiters, in which I think they should be ban. I would say it is a C grade black comedy movie. I am sure these poor actors knew the movie would be poorly made but I guess they only need the money. If you like blood thirsty actions regardless poor scripts and direction, that would be for you. If you can fast skip their conversation, then you'll propbably won't get as bored as I was.

Zero Stars
terryovans20 September 2023
I hate giving reviews on movies I didn't finish watching. But this movie is UNWATCHABLE.

The story line, the acting, the hack job on the direction. It made no sense.

The story would be decent if the actors were likeable, or could deliver a line convincingly.

The premise isn't terrible, but the acting really killed it for me.

There was NO chemistry between the bride and groom, and the Groomsmen looked like they were in a highschool play.

The timeline is derailed within the first 5 minutes, and it gives NO context to what's happening, or why.

Don't even bother. Unless you're one of these easily entertained mouth breathers that gave it a multiple star review. Garbage.

Watch paint dry, it's more interesting.
siobhan-2258623 September 2023
I can confidently say that this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's almost as bad as RIPD and that is probably the worst movie in history- sorry Ryan lol.

Spoiler alert don't watch it ha ha

Don't waste your time. Absolutely brutal movie. Bad acting, terrible story line. I have no idea what it was about but it would be a good cure for insomnia.

The only thing good about it was the music.

Do yourself a favor and find something else to watch. Cocomelon or Caillou would be much better. Or even watching TV static

Can I rate it minus 10 out of 10?

The end credits where a joy to see.

This is a containment mission
nogodnomasters24 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A couple is set to get married as the best man (Cam Gigandet) works on his speech. Suddenly without warning the bride (Natalie Burn) calls it off and drives to a nearby home. The would-be groom (Ser'Darius Blain) requests his party of men go and contain his wife so he can come to talk to her. The bride has other ideas as contain becomes a kill mission. The is a subplot running through this as we see our couple on vacation. It is a flashback and not a flash forward.

The wife fights using her legs and feet. We discover that they all work for an elite group of assassins called the University because The High Table was already taken. And like the Table, there is no getting out as the bride wants out.

We know nothing about the University. There was no character build-up. It was a bunch of choreographed killings loosely connected by a poorly developed plot.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Till death I will hate this movie
mkaouer16 October 2023
It is a poor execution of ready or not. The movie has potential but the execution was really bad and the acting is extremely poor. I do not know why there are endless scenes of boring conversations that lead to nowhere. I always wonder how would a script written to contain such amount of useless information compiled together to waste someone's 90 minutes. Please I am trying to save your time so unless you are going to look for some bad examples, otherwise spare your time and do or watch something else. Perhaps the only good thing about the movie is the action. I would not say it is top notch, but potentially watchable if you have really nothing else to watch.

Bad casting ~ annoying characters~ horrendous script
arsdeviu5 October 2023
The script is just bad ; the writing is so off and fake . I will go as far as saying is beyond fake. The characters behaved in a very strange manner and the way they talk..... is extremely annoyingly. It's like they struggle to say the lines. I think it's a mixture of atrocious, lazy dreadful writing and defective actor casting. There's no chemistry whatsoever. I did not feel anything for any of the characters. Now, I understand I am not supposed to feel something towards the bad guys, but there's not even one charismatic character.(including the bride)

The fight scenes / choreography is beyond amateurism. (fighting in a wedding dress is just idiotic)

Extremely forgettable movie.

Like I said, don't waste your time ; and if you really want to watch a black comedy I would suggest "Very Bad Things "

Violent Action/Comedy
stevendbeard6 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Til Death Do Us Part, starring Natalie Burn-Black Adam, The Expendables 3; Ser'Darius Blain-the Jumanji movies, Footloose_2011; Cam Gigandet-Violent Night, The Magnificent Seven_2016 and Jason Patric-Watward Pines_tv, The Losers.

This is a pretty violent action/comedy-more action than comedy-movie that reminded me a little of the Kill Bill movies. It starts with Natalie and Ser'Darious about to get married. Something sets Natalie off and she flees the church and heads to her cabin in the woods-it has pictures of her and her father on the mantle, so you know it's hers. Next thing you know, Cam-the Best Man-and all the groomsmen show up at the cabin with the intention of bringing her back. Fights ensue and Natalie, still wearing her bridal gown, gives as good as she gets-she starts killing them off, one by one. In flashbacks, you learn more back story about what is actually going on and it involves Jason, a man Natalie and Ser'Darious met at a resort.

It's not rated-NR-but it contains action, bloody violence and language and has a running time of 1 hour & 49 minutes.

I really enjoyed it and I would buy it on DVD.

Mr & Mrs Smith, via Wish
neeeedag20 September 2023
Potential to be good, but very long, zero chemistry between the 2 leads, and a strange direction from start to finish.

Cam as the psycho best man is hamming it up throughout and doing his best Ryan Reynolds impression, but its overacting at its most mediocre. Its almost camp.

The lead isnt awful as the hit fiancee, taking names and ripping chainsaws. But I think this role needed someone with much more personality and charisma.

The male lead is as bland and 2 dimensional as the dvd cover, the couple just dont have a connection, unlike Pitt and Jolie in the much more entertaining version from 2005.

Watch that again, its more fun and sensible than this mess.

I was fast forwarding a few miniature in, boring.
chaplinman131 October 2023
I turned this movie on because it was supposed to be a horror. The synopsis said the 6 groomsmen are trying to kill a runaway bride. Of which had me think, zombie groomsmen or bride.

It started and there was no show of horror, but romance actually. Which had me wondering if the wrong movie turned on. I then began searching the internet to find out wtf this movie was about. Everything everywhere said the same thing (see above).

The engaged couple run into Jason Patrick (in a hat and full on beard making it questionable that it was him) and his wife while in Puerto Rico within the first few minutes of the movie. JP character seemed like something was up with him, bad guy, but wasted character.

The fact that Orlando, Cam, and Jason Patrick are in this, it should be good. However, I kept fast forwarding the beginning because it was soooo boring. I'm now 46 minutes in, I believe 3-4 groomsmen have been killed and it's still not interesting, not scary, or making sense. JP and his wife just came on again, scene from the past. This might get interesting, but again, not horror. Just because someone kills somebody, doesn't make it horror.

53 minutes in and I'm turning it off. Seems like everyone are killers, but not horror killers. It's October and I was looking more for Halloween thrasher scares. To each their own.

Stupid B class
rehmankhilji23 September 2023
Looking for one word to define the whole movie and not in mood to read the remaining review? Well then that simple word to describe the whole movie would be "Pathetic".

Even i was to close the entire review here but IMDB word limit restriction is the reason, so to be honest don't read ahead, the movie is certainly not worth the time or the effort to watch. Natalie Burn, well i though and was expecting another woman super killer stuff, but it was one bad a really bad movie. Stupid senseless and brainless direction and the plot and action sequences, is just simple too B standard. Also learned that Natalie Burn has a streak of bad movies.

So skip this one.

Can't get that time back
psyrex-6631527 September 2023
The trailer I had seen before the movie release got my attention but am sorry to say this was a bust for me. It was like they took all the good parts of the movie and put it into the trailer, least that's how I felt after I watched the whole thing. The acting was subpar in some areas and cringe-worthy in a lot of others but this could have been due to the writing - with the whole actors can only do so much with what they're given type thing. Only positive I can say is that some of the fight scenes were nicely done. There was some that the choreographing needed more work or at the very least reshot. In conclusion, the concept had promise but the delivery just wasn't where it needed to be. I came, I saw, I won't watch again.

What did I watch now?
olcayozfirat10 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's a movie made in 2023 that is neither funny nor scary. The cinema industry has eaten up these hitman movies and is now at its worst. But as a viewer, it's been a long time since I started to feel disgusted by this subject. They said let's add comedy elements to the movie, but I'm sure no one had fun except the crazy guy who danced all the time. They also added a dwarf murderer. Did we really die laughing?

The woman who is a loving couple on the wedding day runs away from the ceremony. Then suddenly a group of murderers follow the woman. While the woman is trying to get rid of these, she is also remembering past moments with flash back scenes.

I looked at the poster and thought it was a horror movie, so I started watching it without knowing anything about it. At the beginning I thought I had opened the wrong movie, but unfortunately it was the right movie. From that moment on, all the appeal of the movie ended for me. It's a really bad and ridiculous movie.

There is no sexuality or nudity in the movie.

Pass on this movie
kaseyshannon-9703722 January 2024
This movie made little sense and was incredibly boring. None of the characters were likeable and I found myself not caring what happened to any of them. This movie could have benefited from more background for what was happening to the characters as well. By being so vague for such a large part of the movie, it just didn't make sense why everyone was trying to kill each other. If you want a good bride revenge movie, skip this and go watch Ready or Not. All aspects of that movie are better, and there is a nice balance between backstory for what's happening in the movie and current happenings. For sure skip this unless you have literally nothing better to do with your time. Even then, I'd maybe skip it.
