'Vixen' was released for several different personal computer formats in 1988. It was developed for 'Amstrad CPC', 'Atari ST', 'Commodore: Amiga', Commodore: 64, MS-DOS and the ZX Spectrum.
The cover of the game, featuring 'Page Three' girl Corinne Russell in the guise of the Vixen, caused controversy and UK high-street chain 'Boots' refused to stock the game until Martech reissued the game with a less provocative cover.
'Vixen' was released in Germany under the title 'She-Fox'. This came about because 'Vixen' sounds like a German word for masturbation.
