Too short
vapebad23 December 2023
I wanted more. A beautiful, way too short film that deserves a feature to truly tell these stories. The attack on LGBTQ people - especially trans people - is unprecedented in my lifetime. And to hear from these fathers, the questioning of their own masculinity when they discovered their children were was truly enlightening.

My only critique is that I came away thinking that it was far too short. It deserves some more time to truly delve into these fathers' lives and the issues they - as men - face in their daily lives. I wanted to explore the issues of masculinity more.

Give it a watch. It's enlightening.

There are no "other people's children"
mauraatwater21 November 2023
How often do we see father figures earnestly sharing their struggles and uplifting their children? This is a beautifully rendered glimpse into what it's like - how challenging, how joyful - for grown men in the United States to support their offspring as they discover who they are. Within a few minutes, the audience is rooting for the people briefly profiled and the relationships they're weaving onscreen; by the end I found myself invested by proxy in the needs and feelings of the interviewees' children, as well. A rare and tender portrait of parental acceptance - I only wish it had been longer!
