The five Escalator Shorts to be broadcast on BBC Look East. The inspiration behind the film was his recent involvement with The City Wakes Project in Cambridge, a festival celebrating Syd Barrett's art and life.
Over-packing was the inspiration for this short film made by a young graduate from Hertfordshire. It was the second of the five Escalator Shorts to be broadcast on BBC Look East. All art work and animation was produced by the artist. This was his first film.
Made in 2008 by Mehrdad Seyf, Shoes is a short film inspired by the city of Cambridge and also by how a city landscape can be altered by a man and a woman. Shoes was the first of the five Escalator Shorts to be broadcast on BBC Look East.
The idea was also to use an Indian classical melodic score and instruments such as Tabla and Sitar which are especially associated with rain and romance. Anita Srivastava made her film in collaboration with Chitra Sundaram.
