Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander Harris on beloved series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is on the mend after experiencing a “cardiac incident.”
An Instagram post from this week provided an update for fans: “Nicky sends his love and wanted me to apologize that he hasn’t been going live as much lately and to give everyone an update. Nicky is doing fine now but he had to be rushed to emergency about two weeks ago because of a cardiac incident (tachycardia/arrhythmia).”
The post is accompanied by photos of Brendon in presumably sequential order: in an ambulance, resting in the hospital and bonding with his dog.
Other than playing fan favorite Xander, Brendon also appeared in 2000’s Psycho Beach Party, 2013’s Big Gay Love and a recurring role on MTV’s Faking It.

Time Crimes: Byrkit’s Exercise Somewhat Overbaked by Inchoate Ideas
Fans of Shane Carruth’s blend of intelligent and hyper complicated low-fi sci-fi should certainly be interested in James Ward Byrkit’s debut, Coherence, a concept that is, of course, facetious at best in this mind-bending puzzle. Playing like the relationship issue version of Nacho Vigalondo’s Timecrimes, the initial set-up reaches dizzying heights of possibility and discussion worthy instances. Inevitably, however, the narrative is constricted by its own structure of multiplied repetitions, which are necessary for intricate developments even as they tend to become an impediment to continued investment.
During the evening when a comet speeds notably close to Earth, several old friends converge at a dinner party. Seven of them are friends, while one of them, Amir (Alex Manugian) is bringing a new girlfriend, Laurie (Lauren Maher), who used to date Kevin (Maury Sterling). Kevin is now in...

From my Irish heart to you, Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Out boxer Orlando Cruz has won his second fight since coming out, defeating Aaron Martinez in a 6th round technical knockout. Cruz wore his trademark boxing kilt, made of two flags, the Puerto Rican flag on one side, and a Pride flag on the other.
Forbes has released their annual Most Influential Celebrities list, topped by Oprah Winfrey. The only out celebrity on the list is Suze Orman, who I admit, I never think about.
Oz the Great and Powerful is cruising to another box office win with $42 million, followed by Halle Berry's The Call at $17 million, with Burt Wonderstone coming in a disappointing third with $11 million.
The new edition of American Horror Story will have the subtitle Coven, and will shoot on location for the first time, in New Orleans. Ryan Murphy says he's also considering a spin-off series,...

Buffy the Vampire Slayer has now been off our TV screens for a staggering 10 years, while Angel disappeared 9 years ago. In an attempt to keep the ‘Buffyverse’ fandom satisfied, supposedly canon continuations (in the form of comic books) have been printed for both shows and for various characters within the shows. But – for reasons we shall look in to further in this list – not everyone is content with this idea.
Now, I’m the first to admit that there are undoubtedly a number of reasons why bringing either show back to TV screens would be incredibly difficult and probably shouldn’t happen, but I’ve always been a ‘glass half-full’ kind of chap, so let’s blissfully ignore those reasons for the sake of our happy faces.
So, whether it’s for a full new season, a spin-off, or even a movie or one-off special, here are 10 reasons why the...
