First dates are often like a job interview. You meet with someone and they ask you a series of questions in order to get to know you better. They are trying to feel you out to determine whether if you are the right person that will fit their needs.
One question that inevitably comes up is: “what is your favorite movie?” The idea of a favorite movie is that it’s a film you can watch over and over again. It speaks volumes about your personality. While everyone’s taste is different; there are a few movies that you shouldn’t mention. Even if they are your favorite, you shouldn’t talk about it on the first date! The cinema remains a common first date venue for a number of reasons, but mainly its function as a romantic rendezvous for potential couples serves two major purposes: firstly, it gives you something to do together that isn’t inherently awkward. You stare at the movie in silence – it’s easy, there’s no pressure, but it still feels like a shared experience. Secondly, it gives you something to talk about afterwards – over drinks, a meal, whatever. It’s a great way to test the waters with somebody new, because discussing a movie can reveal a lot about an individual.
The problem with this, of course, starts with choosing the right movie. You don’t, after all, want to end up watching a movie that is Too anything – too romantic, too sad, too arty, too downright bizarre – because the tone of said movie is going to dominate the rest of the date.

So sad. Jennifer tragically plummeted 17 stories to her death on August 1 after the balcony she was leaning on gave way. But the worst part is, this horrible accident could have been prevented.
When Jennifer Rosoff, 35, leaned on her 17th story balcony while on a date on August 1, she likely didn’t know it was an accident waiting to happen. But in the wake of this ad executive’s horrible death, new investigations show that the deadly balcony was not up to code.
Jennifer Rosoff’s Death: Balcony Inspections Were Over Six Months Late
Every balcony at the Stonehenge 57, Jennifer’s apartment building, has been deemed “defective or not up to code,” a law enforcement official told the New York Post. “They weren’t strong enough to hold her up,” said the source.
