- In a free university life, Yeung Seng Bo is still naively infatuated with the campus belle, still innocently believing in the lies of adults, and still simply having a crush on the older sister around him.
- Yeung Seng Bo finally gets into the University of Hong Kong, but his girlfriend Ling is about to study abroad. They break up, but Bo isn't upset; instead, he looks forward to his free university life. During a street interview, Bo meets Jean, a second-year journalism student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Jean's maturity and rebelliousness are mysterious and attractive to Bo. After several encounters, Bo finds that Jean is a kind and idealistic independent woman. Unexpectedly, Jean suddenly disappears, leaving Bo missing her day and night. Until one day, during an anti-Japanese protest, Bo and Jean meet again, but Jean brings news that she is going to Beijing for an exchange program. Faced with another separation, Bo finally musters the courage to confess his feelings to Jean and expresses his willingness to wait for her in Hong Kong. As time goes by and Jean's return date remains uncertain, can they overcome the distance and end up together? Having tasted the bitterness of love, will Bo ever taste its sweetness?—Yeung Seng Bo
