Assuming you'd found the sword, you'd also have the cure, and yet you're all still vampires. Which means something went wrong.

  Rebekah : What are you doing?

  April Young : Oh, you asked me to take notes.

  [Elena grabs April's arm and they walk around a shelf; the run into Rebekah]

• Rebekah : [to her compelled hostages]  Still glued to your seats? Oh, it's thick with tension in here. Let's spice things up a bit. Elena, truth or dare?

  Stefan Salvatore : We're done playing your stupid games, Rebekah.

  Rebekah : [insists]  Elena, truth or dare?

  Elena Gilbert : Dare.

  Rebekah : I dare you to tell Stefan the truth about Damon.

  Caroline Forbes : Seriously?

  Elena Gilbert : Being with Damon makes me happy.

  Rebekah : Makes you happy?

  [scoffs] 

  Rebekah : Clowns make you happy, Elena. Dig a little deeper.

  Elena Gilbert : When I'm with him... it feels unpredictable, like... like I'm free.

  Rebekah : And how do you feel when you're with Stefan?

  Caroline Forbes : [scoffs]  Stop.

  Rebekah : She can't. She's compelled.

  Rebekah : [smugly satisfied grin]  Do you still love Stefan?

• Stefan Salvatore : [on phone]  What?

  Rebekah : Guess who? I'm back, dagger-free, and I'm holding Elena hostage at the high school. Just thought you'd like to know.
