"Lost" costars Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly broke up in 2007 after three years of dating. In an Aug. 31 interview with Anna Faris on her podcast "Unqualified," Monaghan, 45, revealed that the split was his biggest heartbreak. "I think I've only really got my heart broken once in my life," he said. "I was dating an actress on 'Lost' called Evangeline Lilly, who, you know, has gone on to have a name all of her own. And yeah, you know, I don't really know how she would explain the narrative, but from my point of view, it was probably the first time in my life that I was just kind of all in."
The pair's relationship ended when one of Monaghan's friends claimed Lilly was cheating on him. "I mean, to say I was devastated is an understatement, you know. I had to be told by a third party like,...

Seth is lonely and in love—a potent combination that leads him to kidnap and cage Holly, the woman of his obsession, in the new horror film Pet. Written by Jeremy Slater (The Exorcist TV series), Pet stars Dominic Monaghan in a role that's equal parts chilling and heartfelt.
With the cleverly unnerving movie coming out on VOD and in theaters December 2nd from Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films, Daily Dead had the opportunity to speak with Monaghan about the film's 10+ year journey to the big screen, making Seth a believable character, and what's on the horizon for the talented actor, including a TV show that Monaghan is developing with his Lord of the Rings co-star Billy Boyd.
Thanks so much for taking some time to talk with me today, and congrats on Pet, which has phenomenal performances—yourself included. I love this character that you play, Seth. It's...

No disrespect to the great Hugo Weaving, but David Bowie would've been an awesome Elrond. Bowie was already the Goblin King in "Labyrinth," and would've fit right into the world of "The Lord of the Rings." But, in one of Hollywood's many "what ifs," he wasn't cast in the franchise at all.
Dominic Monaghan, who played Merry, is now promoting Season 3 of his Travel Channel show, "Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan," and he talked to the Huffington Post about Bowie's Lotr audition:
"I was at the Hubbard's, which is a pretty notorious casting agency office in London, doing an audition for 'Lord of the Rings,' and when it ended I went over and talked to John Hubbard, who was running the audition, and he said, 'Hey, it went really well. You should wait around for 5 or 10 mins. We'll give you some feedback.' I thought, 'Oh, Ok, cool, and...

Last week, Dominic Monaghan sent our nostalgic little hearts all aflutter when he tweeted a picture of his mini-reunion with Lord of the Rings co-stars Billy Boyd, Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom.
With The Hobbit trilogy now concluded and Peter Jackson having theoretically said goodbye to Middle-earth forever, Monaghan's post got us thinking about the rest of the Fellowship. Below, we take a look at all nine members of the Fellowship and what they're up to today.
Elijah Wood (Frodo)
After Frodo said his goodbyes and departed for the Undying Lands (don't pretend you're not tearing up at the mere memory), Elijah Wood veered away from blockbuster lead roles in favour of an eclectic mix of indie movies comprising the great (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), the good (Everything Is Illuminated) and the ugly (Green Street).

The first round of 2014 Emmy Awards were handed out at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony on Saturday (August 16) night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which precedes the Monday, August 25 Primetime Emmy Awards telecast, offered signs of hope for a number of drama and comedy hopefuls. Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black," for example, won Emmys for editing, series casting and for Uzo Aduba, who is considered a guest actress for the purposes of these awards. No other comedy series was able to build any other momentum going into next week's show, with "The Big Bang Bang Theory," "Nurse Jackie," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" grabbing isolated tech prizes and Jimmy Fallon winning the Guest Actor in a Comedy Series award for the second time in three years for his "Saturday Night Live" hosting duties. The two guest acting awards on the drama side...

When actor/adventurer Dominic Monaghan is on a quest, nothing stops him.
In BBC America's Season 2 launch of "Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan" Tuesday, March 25, he's looking for a giant spitting cobra. Because, really, who isn't?
He finds the massive snake in Kenya and is thrilled, especially when it spits venom at him.
"It is part of my job, you know," he tells Zap2it. "I love animals, and I love their skill sets that we don't have. And one of those things, one of those profound kind of skill sets is the ability to spit and spit accurately at eyes. They are aiming for eyes. That is an extremely smart adaptation."
Also in this episode, Monaghan and his cameraman come insanely close to being trampled by an irate elephant.

Dominic Monaghan's agent is worried. After all, his client frolics with venomous snakes, spiders and other creepy crawlies on his show "Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan (second season premieres Tues. March 25 at 10:00 p.m. Et on BBC America), which sounds like a career-ending accident waiting to happen. "But it's his job to worry," Monaghan told me during our interview. "I have much more knowledge on the natural world than he does." Monaghan has much more knowledge about the natural world than most of us, and he's not worried at all. Still, as the show goes "bigger" this season, there will be more danger and yes, a little more blood. Here's what Monaghan had to tell me about the biggest mistake people make about exotic creatures, how he keeps his black widow spider, and the dangers of buffalo wings. The press release for the show promises "more blood" this season.
