- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: You have friends in the D.A.'s office. Vet me all you want. I am no one's friend. But I have everybody's respect.
- Detective Olivia Benson: Do I really have to give you the "Don't blame yourself, you're a victim" speech? Because I will.
- [SVU has been ordered to leave Cragen's case alone and go about business as usual]
- Sergeant John Munch: Cragen's being set up and we're chasing celebrity crotch grabbers.
- Detective Olivia Benson: [after Cragen wakes up to Carissa's dead body in his bed] What the hell happened?
- Donald Cragen: I have no idea.
- Captain Steven Harris: I know you're all concerned about Captain Cragen. Here's the reality: SVU can't touch this. What we can do is accept what we can't change and go about our regular business. Fair or not, eyes are going to be on us, so I'm gonna need to see your memo books, logs of every mile you drive...
- Detective Olivia Benson: Captain, no disrespect, but here in SVU, we're... we're used to a certain amount of autonomy.
- Captain Steven Harris: I understand, but things have changed. We're all going to have to adjust.
- Detective Olivia Benson: Yeah, I don't know where you've been...
- Captain Steven Harris: Pretty much everywhere, but this is a very different kind of squad. I consider this to be one of the department's elite squads. I don't wanna see it broken up.
- Maria Grazie: [to Amaro] I'm moving to DC.
- Nick Amaro: You're what?
- Maria Grazie: This has nothing to do with you and whatever happened with that woman...
- Nick Amaro: Nothing happened
- Maria Grazie: It doesn't matter, Nick. Doesn't matter. Okay, I'm... I'm tired of waiting around for you to make time for us, so why don't we just take a little break?
- Nick Amaro: Yeah, who's in DC?
- Maria Grazie: No one, okay?
- Nick Amaro: Yeah.
- Maria Grazie: I just... I took a communications post with the Pentagon. Zara and I are going to stay with my folks.
- Nick Amaro: Zara.
- Maria Grazie: Mmm-hmm.
- Nick Amaro: No, she's our daughter. My daughter.
- Maria Grazie: I've been away from her for too long. I'm sorry.
- Delia Wilson: [to Zara] You must be Zara.
- Nick Amaro: [walks over to the front door]
- [to Zara]
- Nick Amaro: All right, honey, come on. Here you go. Yeah, it's time to put on your jammies, huh?
- Zara Amaro: Good night, Daddy.
- [leaves the room]
- Delia Wilson: [to Amaro] Your daughter's lovely.
- Nick Amaro: You don't talk about my daughter.
- Delia Wilson: I'm here to help you.
- Nick Amaro: You don't look at her.
- Delia Wilson: You're a straight-up guy. If you were a cop who crosses the line, I'd know.
- Nick Amaro: I don't care what you know. You don't come to my house.
- Delia Wilson: You are being played by Ganzel and Cassidy. Not the first ex-cop to work both sides against the middle. Your captain? They have him in a vise. He'll throw you over if he has to.
- Nick Amaro: Now you can go. Now. Go.
- [Delia leaves]
- Detective Olivia Benson: [about Cragen] He needs to see a doctor. I'm going to ride with him.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: I think you know better than that, Detective Benson.
- Detective Olivia Benson: Excuse me? You are...
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Paula Foster, DA's Public Integrity Unit and this is my investigation, not SVU's.
- CSU Tech #1: [holding a knife] Found this, Counselor, in the bathroom sink.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: [to Olivia] I was told that you were already on the crime scene when officers arrived. Did you see that knife? Touch anything?
- Detective Olivia Benson: I know better than that.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Then you know better than to interfere...
- Detective Olivia Benson: He's been my captain for 14 years.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: I don't care. Whatever you two talked about, you're gonna have to testify to at his grand jury. He can take five, you can't.
- Detective Olivia Benson: I'm well aware of that.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: So, anything you wanna tell me?
- Detective Olivia Benson: Yes. He didn't do this.
- Nick Amaro: [to Cassidy as he pulls out his gun] Tell me who you're working for or I'll shoot you! I'll kill you right now.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Detective Amaro, how would you describe your relationship with Carissa Gibson?
- Nick Amaro: She's a witness in the murder investigation of Maggie Murphy.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: When was the last time you saw her?
- Nick Amaro: Earlier that night and she said she had information. I said I couldn't help her unless she came in and made a statement.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Were there any witnesses to this encounter?
- Nick Amaro: Well, she approached me in the precinct parking lot, so there were other officers around.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: But nobody heard you two.
- Nick Amaro: Probably not, no.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Did you discuss personal matters?
- Nick Amaro: No.
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Did you touch her physically?
- Nick Amaro: Wait, what? No, no... who told you that?
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: Did you suggest that the two of you go to a hotel?
- Nick Amaro: Wait, who... who are you getting this from? Cassidy?
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: So you maintain that your behavior with her never crossed a line?
- Nick Amaro: [stands up] Tell me who said that! I'm a married man. I've never even looked at another woman. You understand that?
- Bureau Chief Paula Foster: I do, Detective. Sit down, please.
- Nick Amaro: Are you happy now? Got what you wanted out of me, Counselor?
- [storms out of the room]
- Captain Steven Harris: Our friends at One PP are under the misapprehension that some of you have been investigating Iris Peterson's death.
- Amanda Rollins: She's the main witness against Delia Wilson. How is that not Special Victims?
- Captain Steven Harris: I admire your initiative and your loyalty. I don't see a lot of either.
- Amanda Rollins: Welcome to SVU.
