Torres and Ruzek are playing poker when they get a call to what is one in a series of violent home invasions. Working with them to solve the case is an old colleague of Ruzek's, Detective Borkowski. The synopsis says the beef between Torres and Borkowski is that the latter has a "different policing style", which is putting it mildly. Although he is a bit of a rockstar for having a very high clearance rate and is thus very well connected within the CPD, Borkowski is a bad cop, and Torres strongly believes he lied about someone they were chasing falling down the stairs, alleging that Borkowski beat him. Torres wants to file a complaint, but Ruzek talks him out of it, stating that Borkowski's reputation is going to win the day, despite the guy being a thug and a racist. Ruzek and Torres have some good scenes together.
So it seems we have a new villain, this one from the CPD ranks. Torres, whose character I have grown to love really quickly, isn't going to back down, and Borkowski threatens to end his career. Voight sees their end-of-episode confrontation. Wonder what he makes of it.
