A most unfortunate girl thinks she's getting a lucky break when she obtains a rather ugly old reading chair for free for her first apartment from a shifty weirdo, only to end up as a midnight snack for the two vicious zombie grannies that lurk within! I like this short, I think it's pretty decent for what it is, the idea is silly and a little lame, but it does work and it's certainly a very creepy prolonged scene as the girl sleeps and you see the monstrous elderly undead slowly emerge from the depths of the mysterious chair which I'm guessing must a portal to hell or something, and shamble over to their slumbering victim where they leer and drool blood onto her face before pouncing on her. And it was very nice to see the old it was only a dream - oh no wait it wasn't gag, I think that's sorely missed from horror pictures these. days. There's always something about some horror hovering over a person while they sleep that's extra unsettling. The makeup job done on the zombies is very good, they look really demonic and threatening. It all begets the question of why the AJ Bowen character would do such a thing to a poor girl he doesn't even know. He mentions his two aunts which have to be the hideous monster crones. It seems he is giving them victims by pawning the chair from one hapless owner to another in a classic looping ending, although how it's done here comes off as a little dumb if you ask me.. Anyway it's a bit too quick and to the point for me, but it's a well done horror short that actually does have a few good frightening moments, so they did a good job with it . It's neat enough!
