Strange little gross-out about a man with a rather severe case of intestinal distress Warning: Spoilers
I don't usually like to do reviews that include plot descriptions as I personally mostly find those boring-but I thought f**k it, since "Pink Sock" is so tiny-I've gotta pad this up with something! It's about some guy, played by one Charles Pieper,(whom by the way was cute as a button!) who is suffering from a mysterious and unusual kind of stomach ache which is badly affecting his libido, and his rather buxom girlfriend, a really amateurish performance by a Jessica Bailey, ain't too happy. After his latest failure of sexual prowess in the sack, the guy has suddenly gotta "go" real, real bad. Now, to me the part where he sits on the bog is where this short shines the most, as it is both incredibly hilarious and gross at the same damn time! It was the part that most grabbed my attention. It's a classic disgusting toilet humour kind of gag, literally, as the guy does his business, making all manner of spluttery, spurty, popping and diarrhoahry stomach and ass sounds!!! At first I found it bemusing and I was grimacing because it's not exactly my favourite type of humour, but all those fruity sounds soon won me over and I was grinning. After a lot of straining the poor guy actually s**ts out his own guts and dies, and the entrails, through some cruel quirk of nature, come to life as some kind of hideous little mutant creature with a little face! It looks just like the little intestine monster from Peter Jackson's Braindead. AKA:Dead Alive. His girlfriend, hearing all the commotion, comes-a-runnin' and runs smack into the gut-goblin. She flees in terror, at which point it chases after her in hysterical stop-motion fashion for a few seconds. The brief animation used reminded me a lot of that used with a penis monster in Frank Hennenlotter's last, and sadly awful offering, Bad Biology. I'd definitely say to watch that movie if you loved this, as it's certainly cut from the same cloth. So anyway, the monster corners the girl and it, uh, it, oh jeez,-it burrows up her rear end and into her stomach. And what's really screwed-up is that she "likes" it! I really don't care for the final line of the short the doe- eyed actress pathetically blurts out right afterwards. It's in the quotes, so I'll spare you. After that the scene switches to an animated interior view of the girl's insides with the critter, which is named "Pinky" hence the title I guess, snuggly nestled within with a little smirk of victory. Then it ends on a brief stylish cartoon image that I thought was pretty sharp, and that's it!:::2::: I really think this short's quick time-span is its worst enemy. At five minutes there's really nothing to sink you teeth into, but I liked what I was seeing, it was fun. Too bad there just plain wasn't enough to see- I wanted more! It's only meant to give a few cheap laughs and Just maybe make you puke. And hey, with a hook like that who could possibly resist! I recommend only to those who like their humour quick, crude, sick and freaking bizarre! A disgusting, offensive, somewhat funny and strangely sexy little tidbit.
