Before FBI was renewed for three more seasons and the franchise took its time bringing the focus back to Rina’s murder and the Vargas cartel (sending Jeremy Sisto‘s Jubal over to International just a few episodes ago), we might have thought it could wrap up the premiere’s case this spring. Now, we’ll be surprised if it does. Still, CBS has released the official description for the Season 6 finale, titled “Ring of Fire” and airing on May 21, and it is all about that open case. “The Somalian terrorist group behind the death of Agent Hobbs resurfaces, sending the team on a chase to take them down for good,” teases the network. That ties into what John Boyd (who plays Stuart Scola) told TV Insider. “I’m hoping that we tie up some supervillains and get some people that got away. That would be cool,” he said. Season...

Everett Grant has beef with Russian mobster Maxim Vasiliiv played by Oleg Prudius or if you’re a pro wrestling fan, Vladimir Kozlov. It seems Everett’s security company has been cutting into the Russian mob’s profits and they’re not happy about that. Since Phoenix is an action film, they decide to settle it with a fight to the death. That would be Everett’s death via a bullet to the head made to look like suicide.
WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie plays Everett’s daughter Fiona, Phoenix to her friends. She’s told of his death by General Shackleton. She knows he would never have killed himself and decides to put her hand-to-hand combat trainer’s skills to work finding answers.

The 1990s were an exciting period for action films, with many of them getting released direct-to-video and showing up seemingly randomly at local video stores, requiring fans of the genre to have memberships at multiple locations to get to see everything. There was so much that if attention wasn’t paid, titles would be missed easily or rented twice under different titles at different video stores. Stars emerged within those ranks and gathered the love and adoration of fans. Here are the 10 of the best Dtv action stars of that era:
Dolph Lundgren
Let’s start with the obvious man on the list, the one that everyone saw films from at their local video stores. Lundgren had films that were released in theaters, on video, and direct to cable in some cases during the 1990s, but one thing is for sure, he was a mainstay of the action film aisle...

Jameson, who came out as bisexual in 2004, said that she had previously solely romanced males for the sake of becoming pregnant and having a child.
“I try to go over in my mind why I ever dated or married men, and it’s selfish and bad to say, but I think my driving force were children,” the mom of three explains. “And now that I’ve really found myself, I’m just accepting of everything that I feel inside and don’t shove everything down.”

Where have you gone, American Idol? A nation turns its lonely eyes to … wait, seriously? You’re still on?
Believe it or not, it’s true. Idol has survived long enough to see its 20th birthday. When it debuted on June 11, 2002, the TV singing contest was the blockbuster that promised to define the new pop-culture era. Like the country it’s named after, American Idol is still technically on the map, but it’s staggering in a punch-drunk haze of crushed dreams and betrayed hopes, and the nagging sense that...

I never really noticed or paid attention to ReelzChannel, now just Reelz, an odd collection of off-network fare, cross-promoting what else is on cable and original programming. So, when Ring of Fire crossed my desk, I knew nothing about it. A miniseries that aired in the spring, it features a familiar cast headlined by Michael Vartan (Alias), Terry O’Quinn (Lost), and Lauren Lee Smith (The L Word). It’s a low budget disaster movie that traces how deep drilling for oil accidentally taps molten lava, triggering a chain reaction that brings the world close to an Extinction Level Event.
The small town is filled with the usual cookie-cutter assortment of characters with conflicts aplenty such as the oil rig worker who lost his son due to his brother’s carelessness and guess who’s out of jail in time to use his knowledge of the old mines? Or that...
