Fantastic Program for Kids of All Ages
ax-horton24 February 2015
We stumbled onto this program as my 3-year old son was poking around on Netflix Kids. He watched the first program and was instantly enthralled. It seemed pretty boring to me at first, but as I watched a bit longer I found it was surprisingly informative and engaging. My son has always been mechanically inquisitive, and this show absolutely resonated with him. The voice-overs are a perfect way to relate everything about the machines and the jobs they do. My son is now 4 and a half, and although Netflix only has 39 total episodes available to watch, he has seen each one at least a dozen times.

While it's fun to watch with them, and the kids certainly like seeing the big machines in action, the real thrill for me is catching my son later explaining exactly how the machines work. I'm sure most 4 year-olds will recognize a crane, but how many will tell you what the counterweight is, and why it needs one? I know kids understand that steel is a metal made in a factory, but how many will give you a five minute speech on what "coke" is and how an electromagnet works? Of course much of this comes down to my son's personality and his interest in mechanical functions, but I credit this show heavily for feeding his voracious appetite. And bravo for doing it all without animation, cheesy characters, or products to buy (though he does have a substantial collection of construction toys now).

It was a pleasure to sit in front of the idiotbox and learn about machines.

The voice work was funny. They were so extra with every episode. I learned some niffty things.

The theme song also was brilliant.

Verdict: a show worth watching for children. Although they rather do stuff on tik tok and be Fortniting.

amazing

I watched this as a kid and I loved it so much. This show is legit fire, and it will show you how machines work and stuff, which I always found interesting as a child. I remeber as a child, begging my mom to go let me watch mighty machines, even though my jobs were not done They give the machines personalities, which was always fun as a kid.

However, the very best part was the intro soundtrack. That song was epic for real though. This was a staple of my childhood, and when I have kids I am gonna make sure they watch Mighty Machines, because this amazing show made me who I am today.

My favorite episodes were the garbage trucks one and the one about how semi trucks were made.

My son and I love to watch Mighty Machines together

My 4 year old son and I love watching Mighty Machines together. It's really interesting to see how machines function in a variety of industries. The machine voices seem cheesy at first, but it's a really engaging way to present the informational content to small kids.

My favorite episode is the one where they show snow removal in major Canadian cities. It's astounding to see how much work, how many machines, and what unique infrastructure are needed to keep a city that size working in the snowy weather.

The only negative that I have for this show is that it was pretty boring for my daughter who is only 2 and a half and who is much less interested in mechanical processes.

My son's favorite part are the funny voices and seeing how the machines work. Overall, I love this show. It's educational, and it's interesting for kids and adults.
