(at around 39 mins) John gets the book from his sister Cindy and there are many pages missing. But moments later, the book is complete and nothing is missing.
Inside the dock warehouse, Falcon walks past the camera carrying a Glock pistol. A moment later he press-checks his pistol and it's now a Beretta 92.
During Chapman's first gunfight, he fires nine times, then on the tenth trigger pull, the slide opens and locks back without firing a bullet. Then, after reloading he fires twenty-one rounds, some with his support hand empty and some holding the magazine he previously inserted in the gun.
In the closing scene, Chapman is seen sliding forward his glass of whiskey toward Manny as a gesture of accepting his assignment as a newly appointed government agent. He pushes the glass until it rests just over halfway across the table, on the far side of the umbrella pole. Manny then puts an envelope down on the table on the near side of the umbrella pole, but we see the shot glass right next to the envelope. Then, as the camera pans backwards and upwards in the final shot, the glass can be seen still directly in front of Chapman.
When Carlo and Thiago drive away from La Hacienda Resort, and when they enter the gate to the dockyard, the trunk lid of their black Caprice is firmly closed. When they park at Dock 9, however, the trunk is slightly ajar (so Chapman can get out).
In the opening scene the bullets he places in the shot glass have already been fired. You can see the indent where the firing pin has struck the primer on the back of the bullet.
When John receives his bill at the restaurant there's no card in the receipt book.
During a lull in the gun battle in the favela, we see that Carlo's pistol has a "stovepipe" (fired brass has failed to eject and is stuck in the ejection port), rendering the pistol inoperable. He makes no move to clear the obvious malfunction.
At around 29:32 John takes a police officer's sidearm right off her. When he gives it back at 30:07 he is lasering (also known as crossing, muzzling or sweeping) the detective (Thiago) standing next to him with it. This is a violation of one of the most basic rules of firearm safety: The muzzle of a firearm should never point in a direction in which, if discharged, it would do injury where injury is not meant to be done. Trained military personnel would never ever wave a firearm around like that, especially with a round chambered and the weapon being ready to fire.
When Thiago is throwing the barrels at Falcon in the port fight, they make the sound of metal barrels, rather than plastic as the are shown.
Although the first scenes are set in New York City, the skyline shown after the failed robbery attempt is that of Los Angeles, California.
At about 1:14:57 when Katerina is driving the police car, we see street signs at the corner of Avenida Manuel Fernandez Juncos and Calle Sagrado Corazon, which is in San Juan Puerto Rico. They're supposed to be in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
