Heartbreaking, real, inspiring
tivanl30 June 2023
I've lived in South Africa all my life and I've heard a lot about the decay in the small rural towns (dorpies on the platteland). We discussed gender based violence during my time at university where even the cold statistics are enough to make you emotional. The sad reality that most of the violence is perpetrated by men that these women and girls know and trust. Seeing this documentary made it more real and at the same time made me more hopeful that it is a problem that can be solved. There are people already working to make the world a better place. Lana O'Niell is an inspiration and this great documentary shares her hard work. She deserves to be supported because she is carrying the load for all of us.
