Air Supply may be the latest chart-topping musical act to get the big screen treatment.
Altit Media Group said it plans to make biopic about the band that will, in a nod to one of the group’s biggest hits, be entitled, “All Out of Love: The Air Supply Story.” The film will be released in summer 2025 to celebrate Air Supply’s 50th anniversary. Filming is set to take place in Australia and the U.K. during the fourth quarter of 2024.
Air Supply found success with a series of romantic ballads. Their hits include “Here I Am,” “Lost in Love,” “The One That You Love”, “All Out of Love”, “Every Woman in the World” and “Even the Nights Are Better.” The group scored seven Top 5 singles in a row, tying the Beatles’ consecutive run, and went on to sell more than 100 million albums worldwide while playing over 5,000 shows. "She'll tell on you, she'll ruin your life." Screen Media Films has revealed an official trailer for The Good Neighbor, a thriller remake from German filmmaker Stephan Rick. He's remade his own 2011 German film of the same name (or Unter Nachbarn) for English-speaking audiences, with a new cast this time around. The Good Neighbor English version stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Luke Kleintank, Eloise Smyth, and Bruce Davison. The budding friendship between two very different neighbors takes a tragic turn when David accidentally runs over a young woman and kills her. When he gets involved with her sister, things get even more complicated. It's a twisted psychological thriller about the "unspeakable things" that some will do to protect their secrets. This seems like another of these "true crime" stories that Hollywood is churning out all the time now because so many people can't stop watching them. It does look like this gets extra intense.

In the not-so-grand tradition of "The Vanishing," "The Grudge," and "Delivery Man," German filmmaker Stephan Rick has opted to step behind the camera for the English-language remake of his foreign-language original film. Fortunately for Rick, his 2011 thriller, "Unter Nachbarn," never received a U.S. release; ergo, the twists and turns of this fiendish-looking yarn, now titled "The Good Neighbor," will be completely new to the vast majority of audiences. How fiendish-looking? See for yourself!

Forma Pro Films is planning to launch one of Europe’s largest LED Unit studios in Latvia this summer, Variety has learned. The virtual production facility will utilize the latest state-of-the-art technology in real-time rendering, live camera tracking hardware, and LED screens to enable what the company describes as “a completely new way” of producing films, TV shows and commercials.
Three films and seven commercials are already lined up for production.
The 16,000-square-foot site, set to open in the Latvian capital of Riga this August, will offer a combination of game engine technology and a photorealistic 3D environment to allow for the creation of spatial imagery that the company says goes beyond what is currently possible in film production.

Vin Diesel vehicle “Muscle,” Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers,” and the Zoe Kravitz-directed “Pussy Island” have proved early sales standouts at a contained virtual Pre-Cannes Screenings whose pre-sales market says a lot about the resilient vitality and ever greater complexity of the international film business.
Budgeted at a reported $60 million, which would make it the biggest project at the Screenings, “Muscle” moved waves when Leonine paid a reported high seven-figure pre-sale figure for Germany.
In an out-of-the-box move, Miramax announced Monday that it had secured worldwide rights to “The Holdovers,” reuniting Payne with “Sideways” star Paul Giamatti.
In earlier banner deals, reinvigorated under Michael de Luca, MGM landed global rights to “Pussy Island” and North America on Sean Penn’s “Flag Day,” the biggest film in Cannes competition.

International distributors will get a first look at action thriller “Gasoline Alley” at the upcoming Cannes Market. The film, which stars Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson and Devon Sawa, is represented by Highland Film Group.
The project was first announced at the European Film Market in Berlin, around the time that it was moving into production. Principal photography has now wrapped after set-ups in multiple U.S. locations.
The action follows a take-no-prisoners kind of company boss, played by Sawa, who is accused of a triple murder in Hollywood. He subsequently allies with the two tough detectives (Willis and Wilson) on his tail. And together they uncover a much larger truth than any one of them had imagined.
“Gasoline Alley” is directed by Edward Drake, who recently directed Willis in “Cosmic Sin.” The screenplay is by Tom Sierchio (“The Girl Who Invented Kissing”).
Corey Large and Sierchio are producing the film with BondIt Media Capital financing.

Sasha’s father has just died and as the last of her line she’s gotten everything. So she and her husband Peter hop a flight to Kyiv to check out part of the inheritance. A large townhouse that originally belonged to her grandfather. It’s a huge, beautiful, townhouse in the center of the city. Which means the fact it’s sat empty since he for so long should be a hint that there’s something wrong. The glares from people on the street as they arrive should be another. The housekeeper’s elusiveness when asked about these things should have them sleeping in a hotel.
Writer/directors Chad Barager and Kevin Speckmaier don’t waste any time confirming our suspicions that the building is indeed haunted.

The Bone Collector is about to be collected by NBC. The Peacock Network is set to debut a serial television adaptation of the Jeffery Deaver crime novel-turned 1999 movie, which starred Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. However, the small screen adaptation will brandish the formal title, Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector, after its main character.
NBC is bringing the murky murder mystery of The Bone Collector to television with a premium script – adapting Deaver’s original 1997 novel of the same name – by the duo of VJ Boyd and Mark Bianculli. The series – a production of Universal Television and Sony Pictures Television in association with Keshet Studios – will see the scribes joined by executive producers in Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott, and Rachel Kaplan.

Riverdale shippers rejoice! It seems as though costars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse (a.k.a. Betty and Jughead on the show) are real-life lovebirds.
Reinhart was spotted wearing Sprouse’s maroon blazer at Entertainment Weekly‘s Comic-Con Bash in San Diego Saturday night, and the two were later seen canoodling, holding hands and kissing.
This news will likely be music to fans’ ears since the “Bughead” romance was a surprise crowd-pleaser on the CW show’s first season.
The two have yet to go public with their relationship status, but the coupling probably comes as no surprise to the eagle-eyed fans of the two stars who started speculating about a real-life romance back in May when Sprouse shared a photo of Reinhart on his Instagram.

Sorry, Ryan Murphy, but Kasra Farahani beat you to the punch with this politically charged thriller Tilt. What I’m betting is that American Horror Story: Cult will produce something at least a little more “fun” that what we got here. This movie, admittedly, may not be for me; I’m not a political person to speak of. I don’t follow the news on a daily basis, I avoid my Twitter feed, and I don’t get engrossed in the political world as if the “he said, she said” is even remotely entertaining or important to my life. I stay in my lane of knowledge, and I’m comfortable and happy — judge if you like, but at least I know my place. Here’s the thing: I understand the obsession because I share it with other topics and hobbies, I just don’t share it with politics. There are others who just…...

“Thank you so much for being concerned about my weight,” Reinhart tweeted back at the user, who has since deleted the post. “I’ll respond later after I finish my double cheeseburger.”

Next month, Netflix has a wide variety of films — modern to classic, animated to live action, Oscar winners to romantic comedies — and we’ve picked seven that you should watch once they’re made available on the streaming service. Enjoy.
Read More: 7 Films New to Netflix to Watch In November 2016, Including ‘Boyhood’ and ‘The Jungle Book’
1. “National Lampoon’s Animal House” (available December 1)
John Landis’ 1978 classic college comedy follows the rowdy Delta Tau Chi fraternity’s battle to remain on campus after they provoked the ire of the conniving Dean of the college. Features John Belushi in his most anarchic performance, toga parties, and sing-a-longs to “Louie Louie” and “Shout!”
2. “Waking Life” (available December 1)
Richard Linklater’s 2001 film “Waking Life” examines a bevy of philosophical issues — the nature of dreams, the limitations of consciousness and the meaning of life — in a surreal, rotoscoped dreamscape that demands the viewer’s mind to take flight.

Clip It: Each day, Jon Davis looks at the world of trailers, featurettes, and clips and puts it all in perspective. I like this premise. A couple guys decide to create a haunting for the creepy old man (James Caan) across the street, only his reaction is strange, like he always expected to be haunted by ghosts. That leasts the guys to suspect he's got a secret in his basement, and I think he probably does. It owes a lot to Rear Window, the classic Hitchcock movie about a man who is stuck at home and ends up spying on his neighbors for entertainment, only to discover one of them might be a murderer. Disturbia updated Rear Window a few years ago. But Disturbia is really just a remake. Shia LeBouf has a restrictive ankle bracelet, which story functionality-wise isn't much different than Jimmy Stewart's leg cast. The Good Neighbor...

With a seemingly endless amount of streaming options — not only the titles at our disposal, but services themselves — we’ve taken it upon ourselves to highlight the titles that have recently hit platforms. Every week, one will be able to see the cream of the crop (or perhaps some simply interesting picks) of streaming titles (new and old) across platforms such as Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, and more (note: U.S. only). Check out our rundown for this week’s selections below.
Dormant Beauty (Marco Bellocchio)
The newest film by Marco Bellocchio, one of Italy’s most revered directors, Dormant Beauty, initially seems like a risky proposition, being that it intends to marry both the often over-stuffed ensemble drama subgenre and what’s essentially an “issue” film. The exact fear being that the narrative would strain in a series of contrivances while also mass sermonizing. And yet, while the film still...

The Good Neighbor (formerly known as The Waiting) is a fairly slick and effective thriller from director Kasra Farahani. It stars Logan Miller and Keir Gilchrist as Ethan and Sean, a pair of teenage misfits embarking on a kind of prankish social experiment which involves convincing their curmudgeonly neighbour Harold (a grizzled James Caan) that his house is haunted by malevolent sprits. They install cameras, microphones and high-tech equipment in Harold's home, including special gizmos which control the windows, lights, stereo, thermostat and even the doors - all operated from Ethan's desktop computer in his bedroom. What starts off as a (relatively) harmless practical joke takes a sinister turn when the old man reacts to this apparent haunting in unexpected and dangerous wa [Continued ...]...

I'm liking this recent trend of horror movies in which kids try to pass one over on an unsuspecting victim only to end up victims themselves. Such is the case with Don't Breathe (trailer) which opens later this month and Kasra Farahani's The Waiting.

"Be careful how far we push this guy..." Vertical Entertainment has released a trailer for the thriller The Good Neighbor, from director Kasra Farahani, which first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival this year. James Caan stars as a grumpy old man living next door to some teenagers who attempt to pull a trick on him and make him believe his house is haunted. They setup cameras and try to capture it all on video, but end up seeing "much more than they bargained for." Logan Miller and Keir Gilchrist stars as the kids who try to pull this off. I'm intrigued by the concept for this, it looks fun but also freaky, and of course the discovery of what's really going on better be good. Caan looks like he'll be intense to watch. Fire it up below. Here's the first official trailer for Kasra Farahani's The Good Neighbor,...
