This was truly painful to sit through. It started with some funny scenes around golf then the movie goes on a bit of a bender. The golf parts of the story go from quirky to completely unbelievable . There was clearly no-one familiar with the game involved with this movie. Even more bizarrely, the same inane characters keep repeating the same lines for more than an hour. This movie felt like a toothache.

Timothy starts off this film as a bit of a jerk but has some experiences that make him a better man.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was filmed on a low budget, but you can't tell because the quality of the actors, cinematography, and directing. The writing is superb. I especially loved the outdoor golfing scenes - they really captured the beauty of San Diego. The transition that the lead character (Sizemore) makes over the course of the movie is fascinating - from somewhat of a dog to a man who makes good on his promises. The movie is an emotional journey for the viewers and has a feel-good ending that makes you glad you stuck through the ups and downs of the lead character. The female lead (Brown) is great at keeping the facade of being a normal person for the beginning of the film but eventually showing her true colors, and she has some great scenes where she really looses it and goes nuts. In the end, this movie is not only a love story but a story of human nature - the good, bad, and ugly. Top marks! Can't wait for another movie by this writer/producer!
