Now, I'm not one to partially like treehouse of horrors. I've always found them to go way to fast, this one is no exception for obvious reasons. The jokes they do have are at best okay and tolerable and at worst downright asking for controversy, but, I love it. I think it's best it goes by so quick in case it gets stale or might get boring. And a movie as long, and having 2 movies, as the IT franchise does is a rather tough task to tackle. I think doing this secured a good parody. I love seeing this Stephen king inspired universe. I love seeing the younger version of these characters and how heavily altered they are. It makes it feel like a true parody and not something the show has mocked or referenced before. This is the first time in a long time I can remember they did a full parody, and did it well. And, personally, it feels like such a breather.

This should've been a two parter because of how good it is. It's finally feels like the old treehouse of horror's with good laughs, good scary themes and a great parody. I hope they do another Non-canonical episode next year like they did this year and last year with a serious Flanders.
The animation is surprisingly great, it's got a lot better lately. This episode is most likey going to be better than the actual treehouse of horror. This is one of the few modern Simpsons episodes that I would recommend to watch if you are looking for a good episode to watch.

Masterpiece

This episode is a masterpiece. When I first saw teasers for not it I thought it would be a cheap cash grab; but it was the farthest thing from it. This episode has excellent pacing, excellent humor and at times it was legitimately scary. I never thought I would give a modern Simpson episode 10 stars but here I am right now righting this review. This should have had two episodes because I want more of this and the whole IT trilogy is over 5 hours long. I doubt the 33rd treehouse of horror will be this good since the last treehouse of horror was mediocre at best. For the first time in 20 years I am tuning in on fox for every episode which really says a lot. This IT episode is amazing, I loved a serious Flanders, pixelated and afraid, Lisa the boy scout, and all the other episodes are pretty good! I wish the best luck to the Simpson creators for supplying me with a wonderful childhood and now adulthood.
Not as funny as classic simpson but just as creative and entertaining.

1st let me say I'm huge IT fan so I get every parody joke. This episode is so creative and the writing is tight. The use of Krusty,Marge, Homer were perfect. Surprized comic book guy was other love interest instead of moe, but it works. Is it the funniest episode of the simpson? No. Especially, compared to the great treehouse of horror episodes like ToH 4-7. It's just as creative and the writing is incredibly tight. Animation is phenomenal and very creative use of parody scares. Not IT will go down as my one of my fav episodes of simpsons since season 9. Simpsons have brought 2 of my fav and best episodes in years between this and the new treehouse. I'd rank both episodes in my top 100 which is extremely high praise since simpsons have over 100 episodes in classic Era (seasons 3-8). Classic Era almost every episode was a banger.
