Mumbai, Oct 9: Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who has made a mark for himself on the small screen, may soon be seen in a full-fledged role in the movie "Master Chef".
Shuja Ali will direct the film.
"I want to make a complete food-based film and I have approached Sanjeev Kapoor. Sanjeev really liked the script and he is in love with it. He said he never thought a director would approach him for a film. I am very much excited about the film," Ali told Ians.
The director is currently busy promoting his debut film "Baat Bann Gayi", slated for Friday release.
Shuja says "Master Chef" will be the first film based on food.
He said: "The film itself is titled 'Master Chef' and who better than Sanjeev can be part.
Shuja Ali will direct the film.

Co-produced by Sayed Asif Jah and Megha Agarwal, "Baat Bann Gayi" is a comedy and also features Ali Fazal, Anisa, Amrita Raichand, Razzak Khan and Akshay Singh.
"Baat Bann Gayi", which is coming out Oct 11, will see Ali Fazal and Gulshan in double roles.
"We made a small budget film. T.P. Aggarwal (producer) saw the film and bought all India distribution rights of the film. He is distributing the film and the film has got a kind of validation now,".

Mumbai, Sep 14: Gulshan Grover, who has been part of more than 350 films so far in his career, will be seen in a double for the first time in "Baat Bann Gayi". The actor is excited about the project and says "it's intersting to play such roles".
"Baat Bann Gayi" is co-produced by Sayed Asif Jah and Megha Agarwal and is directed by Shuja Ali.
"After over 350 films, I am very excited that Asif Jha and Shuja Ali saw my potential to essay double role in 'Baat Bann Gayi'," the actor said in a statement.
Gulshan portrays the role two diametrically different characters - the studious Professor Lakshmi Niwas and a pansy.

Lucia, Director Pawan Kumar’s Kannada-language film Lucia has won the coveted Audience Award at the 4th London Indian Film Festival (Liff, July 18-25). The inventive crowd-funded film, powered by UK-based online outfit Distrify, delighted sold out audiences across the city.

Mumbai, June 5: Amrita Raichand, a known face in the ad world, says her forthcoming film "Baat Bann Gayi" will be a complete entertainer and clarifies that it is not an adaptation of "The Comedy of Errors", but inspired by it.
"I recently shot for the film 'Baat Bann Gayi', which is a romantic comedy film," Amrita told Ians. "We have finished shooting and the film is set for a June release. It was great sharing the screen space with Ali Fazal, Gulshan Grover," she added.
There were reports that the film is an adaptation of "The Comedy of Errors", one of William Shakespeare's shortest and most farcical comedies.
Quite a few Indian filmmakers have adapted Shakespeare's humorous saga that arises from mistaken identities.
