The film was never supposed to be as big as it got to be. Originally the premiere screening was going to be at Matthew Lipke's house with the cast and crew. However, once filming was completed they actually worked out a deal with the Palace Theater in Syracuse to screen the premiere there. They had almost 300 people attend the premiere, and three separate newspapers did articles on the film. All the net proceeds from the premiere went to the crew's Relay For Life 2012 team. They raised $1,650.
The film's plot takes place in one day. However, it took over a month to film the entire movie.
The scene where Kevin falls down the hill had to be filmed four times because the actors at the top kept laughing. Ironically, Matthew Lipke (Kevin) actually did get hurt filming this so many times.
There were literally hours of unusable footage and bloopers on the original tapes. Some of these bloopers can be found on the special features section on the DVD.
The movie wasn't completely finished until 4am on the morning of the premiere. Then, initially the movie wouldn't burn onto the DVD because the file was too large. Eventually Lipke was able to compress it onto the DVD just a few hours before the premiere.
