It has been a full decade since "Kick-Ass 2" hit theaters and, in all of that time, there has been much talk of a third film. Sadly, for fans of Dave Lizewski's brand of vigilante justice, nothing has materialized. The world still awaits the return of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl in some way, shape, or form. Fortunately, it does seem like the tide may be turning in that regard and that "Kick-Ass 3" will finally happen. Sort of. Creator Mark Millar may have said that "Kick-Ass 3" wasn't in development back in 2014, but much has changed since then. So, will Aaron Taylor-Johnson and/or Chloe Grace Moretz be back in their roles as Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl? Is director Matthew Vaughn going to return? Is it going to be a sequel or a reboot?...

Matthew Vaughn revealed a Kick-Ass reboot is in the works, addressed challenges around working in the X-Men universe and teased his upcoming spy thriller Argylle during his Saturday evening panel at New York Comic Con.
Vaughn appeared to talk about his library of work during the 45-minute panel, which ultimately dived into his experiences on several projects he did — and didn’t — direct. The discussion was also full of project updates, including that he is working on a musical, will return to Kingsman 3 next year and has a new Kick-Ass with different characters in the works.
“Kick-Ass sort of changed people’s perception of what a superhero film is at that time. So we’ll be doing it again. So it’s none of the characters from the other Kick-Ass,” he said. “We’d like to bring them back after the reboot. This reboot is just going...

Kick is making moves to make sure more of its creators get paid. The upstart Twitch rival has revealed the 50 streamers who will make up the second class of its Creator Incentive Program.
Thanks to their membership in the Incentive Program, the chosen creators will receive hourly compensation for their Kick streams. Those payments scale up as Kick partners pull in more followers and watch time. When Kick first revealed the Incentive Program last year, it provided benchmarks that will inform its future partnership decisions. The 33 creators included in the Program’s first class averaged about 200 new paid subscribers and 1,500 new followers over 30 days.
The streamers who were ultimately selected for the second class include some of the biggest draws on Kick. According to StreamsCharts, Incentive Program beneficiaries like ZombieBarricades and Schlump are pulling in more than 25,000 hours of watch time per week.

Blumhouse, Futurama, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Archer, Shining Vale, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and a new Goosebumps series are among the panels, screenings and exclusive first looks set for this year’s New York Comic Con.
On Thursday, ReedPop announced its initial programming slate for the 2023 edition of the annual pop culture convention, taking place at the Javits Center Oct. 12-15. It’s the first major schedule announcement for the fall con, which, like its convention predecessors this year, is navigating the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes against the AMPTP that limits talents ability to promote their work.
TV and film programming includes a Thursday Empire Stage panel dedicated exclusively to Blumhouse, with producer Jason Blum sharing exclusive details about Five Nights at Freddys, Night Swim and Totally Killer. Kingsman: The Secret Service and Stardust filmmaker Matthew Vaughn will appear on the same stage for a Saturday panel that...
