Loved the score! "On that Day" should win best original song TV movie!
Ryan_Unreal18 November 2023
The film itself was decently presented, but what won me over was the score!

A lot of indie films lack to same care and attention to the score as they give to acting/cinematography. The composer in this film made the music its OWN character. While Nikki narrates and helps glue together parts of the story, the music did it more-so for me. In such a deep, romantic, yet dark story the music added an odd comfort that I really enjoyed. The finale song, "On that Day" was beautifully sang by Brooke Weirick. Very musical theater yet also very contemporary

As far as the feel of the music - think Horner meets Webber meets Zimmer. Reminded me a lot of a mix between Interstellar and Inception in terms of sound

As far as the film itself I was pleasantly surprised! While the film doesn't jump pretty quickly, you'll love the film if you enjoy good conversational scenes - these are short and simple moments. This film really lets the characters have deep conversations and for that reason it might not keep some's attention. However, I appreciated it!

Deep and thought provoking

Not a film for those looking for jump scares or twists and turns (besides one BIG one at the end). A deep dive into trauma and death/grief. The film was thought provoking and really makes you wonder and think about loved ones possibly going through something similar.

Naomi Grossman looks GREAT and while I was also hoping to see Nikki Blonsky (just a narrator) I was also very impressed with both Robert Michael and Vanessa Gamble for their roles. I think the relationship could have been flushed out a bit more in the writring but for the budget of only 7,000 what was accomplished was outstanding! Kudos to the cast and crew! Everyone's performance was great and grounded!

I felt this on a personal level

10 stars for the ability to work on such a small 7K budget and crank out a well executed feature film!

Rarely a movie comes along that grabs my attention - I think due to the current trends of what is popular at the moment. This movie wasn't adrenaline pinching but having gone through a similar event in my own life I loved that I could relate to the film. It's only 83 mins so it's a good length for the type of story being presented (would also really benefit from live tv with commercial breaks) and the acting was great! Naomi is great in everything she does, and I am now a Robert Michael and Vanessa Lauren Gamble fan as well :) Robert had great levels and was a nice counter to the stoic, depressed nature of Vanessa's character

Great job to a production with ONLY 7,000 dollars in budget. I can only imagine what could be accomplished with a proper budget and studio backing. Kudos for what you all did here! Indie film is the FUTURE!

Great Indie! Gorgeous music!

Loved the story! Felt like I was watching something unfold as a fly on the wall - also felt very comforting as if I was talking and getting advice from a good friend

This film has a lot of heart and warmth and feels like I'm seeing as much inside the filmmaker/writer as the actual characters. Stories like this need to be told - there's too much pain and fear in the world and we all need someone (or some thing) to help guide us back to peace

Great acting, BEAUTIFUL music! I love when music is just as much a character as the players!

Could things be better? Yes! Is it still a great, well performed indie? YES!

Learning how to find peace in the midst of chaos.
erikstephenpeters12 December 2023
This movie was abundantly touching and relatable. Everyone has been through something similar to this storyline that makes this film speak to you on many different levels. I found the movie was suspenseful, intriguing, and yet so full of peace and warmth. The balance of many different emotions in this film was greatly executed and created a whirlwind of emotions throughout viewing.

The film exudes hope, love, and positivity while going through hard trials and tribulations. This is something I think the world should experience as we tend to live in the midst of chaos. It gives you a beautiful insight to try to find that "silver lining" during any storm you may be facing. This film resonated with me on multiple levels, and I look forward to seeing future work by Robert Michael.
