First Spring breeze.

"Nesma" is the Arab word for 'breeze" ;it is the name of a luxurious desirable mansion , which a couple of estate developers tries to sell but in which horrible things might (have ) happen(ed) : potential wealthy people are interested (a pregnant American woman , a corrupt cop ) but every time something happens .

This thriller in disguised occurs after the Arab spring in Tunisia and its purpose is to show that nobody escapes unharmed from a dictatorship.

The hero ,for instance ,is a wealthy man ,part of the privileged ones, but he has a guilty conscience :hence the presence of a double (one might think of Joseph Losey 's" mister Klein " 1975)who swindles him ,who looks like him, who's got a similar car ; although the shady cop keeps on telling him that " this man is going to be arrested pretty soon", the estate developer always feels a bit uneasy .He probably took advantage of the dictatorship, but his family story is not so rosy : he and his beautiful can't have children ,but ,says the wife" it does not matter ,for our fathers and mothers are all dead (and they are still very young ,about 30): in which circumstances? all we see is a visit to the graveyard ; Now in Arab ,now in French ,this is not a very accessible movie ;besides ,some scenes are filmed in absolute darkness, without any subtitles .

The director was arguably influenced by David Lynch and for people who like this style ,it might be their cup of tea ; for those who would prefer ,say ,a Costa -Gavras treatment, they have to move on.
