This was excellent.
If ever there was a reason for this to be made, this was it.
Filling in lots of the questions behind why Scott became Santa in the first place, this proves to be an engaging episode. Everything else, all the silliness that has crept in is largely kept at bay, and here we have a proper story being told.
It's helped hugely by the fact we get Bernard back, and what a shame it is that he can't be more of a regular feature.
I still think this would have been a better film than a tv series, but this was certainly a good example of this show at its best.
Can we cut the silliness and do more like this please?
