Outstanding episode. It doesn't take much to get Danny to go ballistic, and he is sure justified this time when while in the car with his family, he accidentally hits someone and when he gets out of the car to investigate, a shot is fired which narrowly misses his young son.

Hell hath no fury when Danny is angry. He is in hot pursuit of the culprit and it will come somewhat of a surprise who the party is by the show's end.

Nice to see that Danny's television wife is finally getting more of a role then just a plain officer's wife watching the children as dad goes off to fight crime.

This episode was excellent as it showed that this situation could put a strain on their happy marriage. We have seen this before but this time, in particular, it was done quite well.

The sidebar story, while brief, is very poignant. Frank has guilt over his friend, who was forced to retire after 9/11 due to illness, and is now dying. Frank has guilt feelings why this man was sickened at Ground Zero but not him. His eulogy at the man's funeral was memorable.

Some shows manage a 10-star episode once a season.

This one stacks 'em up like peanuts in a tin cup.
