The Uma Thurman character immediately proves that she has no voice for the part of Marilyn whatsoever. To compensate for this, she begins to make demands on the company. Mainly, she wants the script to be written which will be more dramatic so that she can do less singing. By the end of the episode, her voice seemed better so we'll see. Nonetheless, she is appearing to be quite an irritating character.
It finally dawned on me who Anjelica Huston looks like in this series. She looks like a younger version of Dame Judith Anderson, and with that Egyptian style lady-like hairdo, she would have fit right in with Anderson in 1956's "The Ten Commandments."
We see how our lyricist's son is being adversely affected by his mother's affair when his school work begins to suffer.
Ivy and Karen seem to be drawn into a relationship to combat the Thurman character.
You know that Derrick knows that a mistake has been made in the casting of Thurman as Marilyn in "Bombshell." It will probably take a bombshell to get her out of the production.
