This show is an embarrassment to what made the NYC downtown scene special beginning in the 1970's. Back then it really was about ART not FAME. Once upon a time downtown NYC was special; now it's just a bunch of transplants playing a game. They all look like they're playing a part in some scripted play. I guess it's just an extension of social media which didn't exist when downtown NYC was really relevant. However, this may be a fair representation of today's reality, unfortunately. I miss the old NYC, especially downtown NYC. If you look hard enough some remnants still remain but you need to look hard to find it. It's worth the effort.

Nothing but a bunch of loser pathological narcissists
driscollx1 October 2022
These folks aren't "disruptors" as much as they are "regurgitators" of the empty narcissistic cultural norms so prevalent in the US and western society in general these days. Series supposedly gives an "exclusive" look into the NY "underground" about the "next generation of cultural icons." Icons? Really, to whom exactly? All I see are a bunch of obnoxious self-centered trust fund babies (none of them seem to have a real job) galivanting around NY looking to get into the latest "scenes" while pretending to be being "beautiful", fashion-conscious, artsy and "creative." Gag me with a shovel, please.
