A despondent Tesla speaks of abandonment saying, "Even the pigeons left me in New York, 1943. The white dove." For the last couple decades of his life Tesla spent a lot of time feeding and caring for city pigeons. He did this untill his death in NY in 1943. But the love of his life, the white pigeon with grey on her wingtips, died in his arms in 1922.
