Very bad movie
silentsight-124 September 2017
The production is pretty bad, the pacing is all over the place, there seems to be no editing, and the music is just confusing. The actors don't even try, and it seems as if they dubbed their voices. Overall I give it an awful rating, as even Mexican telenovelas better production that this. This is saying much, being produced in the same country. It does seem like a very long soap opera.

Great merit for and independent film.

This film was shot and post produced with only $50,000 dollars! With just a few copies in Mexico more than 18,000 people saw the first week in a semi-national release with a few shows at night.

This film was released a few days after an earthquake destroyed part of Mexico

and the direct competition was IT and MOTHER!

Something very interesting is that the average age of the crew was 23 at the time the film was shot.

Alicia's Dream is a melodrama and a horror film. Interesting how it talks about loneliness and how we think that a "significant other" can be the option to stop feeling lonely. Only two characters and a forest where they get lost...they have to confront each other and other dangers.
