The great majority of the movie was shot in Patagonia, AZ in one day. Nathan Miller had to actually remove all his makeup and dress into a new costume to act as if it was from the night before. During the day, the shoot was rained on and it had only cleared up late at night.
Four additional shots were added after the filming day to connect the story. Two of those shots were filmed in Tucson with Nathan Miller. The other shot was a re-do of the boy in the trunk with Keyghan Burns. The last shot was filmed out in Patagonia. The "car driving by" POV shot from the corner store was the only shot the director needed to connect the pursuit of Eric to Wayne Lee Dalton. It had taken the director less than ten minutes to get the shot, but over an hour to drive to the location to film it.
There was an additional extended scene of Nathan Miller and Mark Klugheit - where Klugheit pummels Nathan to near death with a metal flashlight and leaves him for dead on the road. This scene was removed during the final stages of editing and was only shown to the crew upon request.
Dan Higgins was the amber alert voice-over throughout the film. He did his recording a week before completion of the film. The original voice-over was the director, Adam Ray.
Dan Higgins was considered to play the role of Wayne Lee Dalton. He eventually was the voice-over of the film.
