A good story
heinzrogel21 October 2019
A good story is not its storyline, a story is its theme. The theme may hide behind the plot and only gradually show up.

This movie tells a good story. Its storyline follows a father who is looking for his runaway son. The theme behind it is the structure of the Brazilian society, the separation of the bourgeois class from the poor, the destitute, the hopeless. You should see it, even if it's only the Portuguese version. No, you should try to see it just because it IS the Portuguese version.

Very good drama thriller road movie, with nice script and excellent actors. Delicate, moving and well paced. Quite underrated!

Amazing! Brazillian Movie of The Year

Masterpiece. This movie is all about life, family, love and passion. Didn't wanted to watch at first, had to be convinced by wife. Boy i was so wrong!

Wagner Moura plays a father who tries to save his family, lost them long ago due to his inability to love. Stuck into the system, just like everybody else (work, stress, dark past, so on). During the journey to rescue his son, he then slowly starts to understand how far they got from each other.

A man trying to rescue his soul. I'm surprised with the low rating (6.2) here, for it's a big 10!

It seems that everything with Wagner Moura in it is quite good. No exception here. Totally engaging film.
